We did this a few years ago.  I made hangars so that we could hang the smaller pumpkins from the trees around our campsite.  They were a huge hit.

We did a few decoration at camp a couple of years ago but they got messed with in the night, so I was hesitant to use any around the tents.

I did up my yard last year like a cemetary...at camp there was only 4 of us but we carved some pumpkins....and I got to take mine home! Usually they get stolen in the night lol...
