Felix Cavaliere lives here in Nashville and I see him all the time at the Whole Foods...The Young Rascals were a great band...He apparently has been working on a recording with Steve Cropper (Booker T & The MG's), not sure if it's actually been released yet or not.

Wow, you have met a lot of really cool people!! I have an old video of them performing Good Loving and it is awesome- he sings while playing a Hammond B3! Thanks for the info.

I believe the band was from New Jersey and that Felix went to my alma mater, Upsala College.  It was before I went there, and I don't believe he graduated.  I think I saw the Rascals playing in the gym after they got famous, but I can't remember.  The college had tons of good concerts there for years, while I was still in high school.  When I was a freshman, they stopped all the concerts because they said it tore up the gym floor and it cost a fortune to refinish every year for the basketball games.

I saw Felix Cavaliere play here a few years ago.
And for those that don't know, Steve Cropper was a guitarist with the Blues Brothers and appeared in the movie.

I don't know why, but this is the ONLY song that never fails to make me mist up. I got a letter telling me a wonderful friend died of an overdose and as I opened the letter, this song was playing. I lost two friends that week.

Gerry Rafferty had checked himself into St Thomas' Hospital hospital for liver problems. However, he disappeared on 1 August 2008, leaving his belongings behind. The hospital filed a missing persons report.  After three months, he is still missing.

...a little explanation...

Being that yesterday was the last day 'at Faire' in our wonderful CRF, I did a bit of commerce with a few of the musicians.  One of the CD's was from the Pirate Shantyman and the Bonnie Lass (Isn't little 'Belch' so cute?).  We cracked it open on the way home and enjoyed a few pirate ballads.  My favorite is 'the Queen of Argyle'.  I woke up singing it this morning:
