Nice Hat, Lord Dragon.

I am back from my 2 week trip to Reno.

I have the hand sewing part of the coat done. Using metallic Embroidery Floss had its kinks in places.Bbut overall, i am very happy with the results. Here are the cuffs. imagine the rest of the coat. More Photos in the coming days.

With some minor changes to the design, here is what I have done so far...The main idea of the Captain Teague coat remains.

The ends of thr detail are sewn down, clipped as close as I could get, then used Fray Check to the ends. Dries clear and prevents fraying. I do apologize for the kinks in the Embroidery floss. Not the easiest floss to work with.

more photos as I progress.

Now let's hear those SQUEEEES real loud!!!

I know all about the gold thread.  Personally I HATE the stuff, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet ( or in this case the cutlass) and work with it.

Absolutely Awesome, lady Kathleen.  I bow to your knowledge and expertise.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Trillium

Its good to see a dark lord learn to squee properly!

Lady Kathleen that is amazing!!!!!  Makes my attempt at a pirate coat seem so feeble!!  I can't wait to see the final product!
Got faerie dust?

Lady Gryphon

Just a thought.  If the trim is synthetic you can always melt the ends with a lighter. I've done that in a pinch and it won't ravel.

But I know you know best and it will be awesome no matter how you do it.   I can't wait.

Oh An

Fantastic work.   So glad you are doing it and not I!!  Used that metalic floos ONCE..  I labor of love for my own daughter but never again.    That is one very spoiled Dark Lord!

Captain Teague

Also one very in awe and grateful Dark Lord. ;)

(Never hurts to have a Dark Lord in your corner, either.  :D )
