JoAnn's   Thurs-Sat June 5-7  Simplicity and McCalls Patterns 1.99, June 12-14 Butterick 1.99. 60% of Linen, Brocade,  and Botttomweights fabrics June 1-14

In addition, the Red Tag home dec fabric is 50% off again!!! That's where i found all my best bargain buys last weekend. I mean when you need 7+ yards of something yummy, $3/yd is much better than $6!  ::)

I broke down and bought what was left on a  roll at Hobby Lobby of fabric, 7 yards on black background with period floral designs in Golds, Greens, Burgandies, for perhaps  another gown sometime in teh future at $4 a yard. Originally $25 a yard.

Like I need more fabric people!!!   :o  :o

I was at Hobby Lobby Friday! I used a 40% off coupon on a beautiful fabric that reminds me a lot of the fabrics from Moresca. It's got golds, plums, burgundies, rusts, and a paisley/floral design. It's being added to the stash for now and will be a project after the season ends.

Sounds like we bought the same fabric, Athena.

Hmmm, it sure does, though mine is on a burgundy background. It's going to be a bodice, but I'm waiting until autumn rolls around so I can take my time making it. You got the better deal, that's for sure!  :)

Oh, and I also went to JoAnn and bought some clearance fabric. The woman who cut the fabric asked if I was making another costume for the Renaissance faire in Cleveland.

She cut fabric for me before, and we had a conversation about the faire after she asked me what I was making. This was a few months ago, btw. I don't know what's scarier - all the fabric that I'm accumulating or that certain JoAnn employees know who I am!

I am at our local JoAnn's at least twice a week for either miscalleanous items or fabric for a commission. Of course they know me by name. I usually have something with me , like a picture or pattern I am using, for what I need fabric for.

I also make bibbies for my mother and find unique fabrics to make her one or three when I get the time. But there are times where I see a unique piece of fabric and I have to buy the rest of the bolt or or special order more. I am sick, that is for sure.

Which reminds me. I will need to order another 50 yard bolt of Broadcloth. I am almost out of the previous bolt I ordered less thana  month ago.

Well, I went to Joann's and bought 3 yards of wool felt and 2 yards of black moleskin, that was on sale. I was tempted to buy some 50% off red tag material, but fought the temptation! I figured once I sort out what I have already I may go back towards Fall and see what is there. I have lots to get rid of, that I know I wont be using at all. I just have so much and I could make my own fabric department! LOL!  :P

Too bad we don't have a "Willing to Trade...."  section.

Example I'm willing to trade 3.5 yards of never been used Kona Cotton in Navy for 1 yard brocade.

Right now I'm so swamped with customer's projects I don't have time for my own. Oh but I did get 2 50% off coupons from JoAnn's in the email last night, as well as 2 40% coupons.   :o Do i use them for me or customer?  That is the question .....

How's this for crazy?

I have so much fabric hanging around the house, you can't turn around without tripping over something in 1 room or another.

I think it's crazy, because I don't even know how to sew.  I just see something pretty, think, "oohhh, that will make a nice [insert whatever]," and then buy the fabric.

However...... someday...........   ;)

For those who did not already know.
Jo Ann's Firefly Frenzy sale is this week until the 21st.

50% off red tag fabrics
Simplicity patterns 2 for 5$
thread 50% off

and much more

Why don't I just sign my paycheck away to them as soon as I get it?

Due to being swamped with a customer project I sent the rogue to Joann's (I know I have a wonderful hubby ;D ) As long as I have a specific list he can get exactly what I want , granted I do the same thing for Home depot for him.

Anyway he wanted to know is it something with Fabriholics that soon as there is a sale they become jerks? He said he had never seen women fight, shout and be completely rude to clerks over clearance/ sale fabric.  I had to tell him that not all of them are like that but it didn't surprise me.  :(

He did come home with some good quality 100% cotton broadcloth for 1.50 a yard :)

If he thinks it is bad during a sale he should have been at the closing of a store......OMG! they were actually stealing bolts of fabric out of others carts & hiding them!

Then there is always the lovely scenes at the trimtex Yard sale held annually here in PA....(it got changed this year since they moved the store) But before you couldnt pick up trims before 8, there would be people yelling "_______ is Shopping!" right up till 7:59...Then there were the ones that would fill boxes of trim, stash them under a table continue shopping then get mad becasue some one poked around in their box....

I want to play with your head like a drunk kitten:)

"DAMN YOU~JOANN'S!!!!    :D LMAO!
I only went in for a closure, yes that was all...... ::), came out with material that will last me forever! LOL!
I need intervention!  ;D
