The Kalamazoo Living History Show is coming up March 20/21. http://www.kalamazooshow.com/ It's mainly Colonial through 1890s, but a decent place to shop for cross-over items for costumes or accoutrements. We'll be there peddling our period games so stop by and say hello if you check it out.

A music theme seems to be something new this year, I don't recall any musical acts scheduled in past years.

QuoteMusicians specializing in the heritage of Great Lakes music will be performing at the show, interpreting these cultures through the lyrics and music that have been passed on to us through time. We invite you to come listen, learn, participate, tap your toes, and most of all, enjoy- enjoy the sounds our forefathers left us!

Yup, Kzoo is wonderous for shopping.  some notes: I've noticed they run out of food (hot dog area) sometimes early. nothing wrong with a picnic in your car, from a cooler.
gets Packed with people, elbow to elbow, so you'll be subject to noise/heat/crowds pushing (watch those breakables).  Might be long lines at the bathrooms.   Don't forget to enter the contest, if you come in period appropriate costume.

I haven't been in years (the trip is too far for me to drive alone, there and back).  But very well worth it !  Wonderful vendors selling amazing amount of variety.
