Having careing co workers who actually listen to me instead of considering me less than a person for not being management.

Though a door closed on one thing this weekend, another one opened wider so that we can spend time with friends we had been missing badly.

What made my day? Hearing that Proposition 8 was just overturned in California, making same-sex marriage legal in CA once again. Judge Andrew Napolitano, commentating on Fox News, predicted that when this goes to the SCOTUS, it will most likely be 5-4 decision, holding up this decision. Which would probably strike down all same-sex marriage bans in the U.S. as being unconstitutional. Maybe my fiance and I will actually be able to get married *legally,* which, for living in Texas, would be awesome!!!

EDIT: Judge Walker *may* suspend his ruling:

Despite the favorable ruling for same-sex couples, gay marriage will not be allowed to resume immediately. Judge Walker  said he wants to decide whether his order should be suspended while the proponents of the ban pursue their appeal in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.  The judge ordered both sides to submit written arguments by Aug. 6 on the issue.

Getting my seat at college to complete my apprenticeship....total career change and going back to college at 45! Gotta love it!

If all goes well and I pass everything and I have all of my hours....I will have my chef papers sometime in June.
