Alrighty then...

There's always something odd happening around here. Here I am sitting at the computer when I hear a strange noise. I look out the window to see a woman pushing an apparently empty, large, dark colored, plastic shopping cart down the sidewalk. The closest store with carts like that is over a mile away from here. This is just the latest in wierd happenings in my neighborhood:

We had a police chase a couple of summers ago that ended right down the block. The police ended up catching one of the kids they were chasing in our back yard.

Later that same summer, a dump truck went driving down our street with its dump bed lifted and took out the power lines across the street.

Last summer, a couple of guys got arrested for what I imagine was operating a bicycle while intoxicated right in front of our house, and a big flatbed wrecker came for the two bikes.

A couple of weeks ago, I got woke up by the sound of breaking glass at around 5 in the morning. I got up, opened the window, and stuck my head out just in time to see about three cd's come flying out of my neighbor's front door into the yard. Then her door slammed. A few moments later, it opened again, and here come three or four more cd's flying out the door, and the door slams again. On the way out of the house later that morning, I had to avoid the broken glass on the sidewalk, which was a gin bottle that was apparently what had woken me up by suffering the same fate as the cd's.
