Any of you attend the Promos Marketing puts on to get a wee taste of MRF before opening?  Just curious.

I probably won't be doing any promos this year.  :(

Random Girl

I did the Grand Ole Days parade. It was a really long hot death march. It's worth the points though, to an extent. I'll try to attend all those I can make that don't have conflicts!

???

I assume this is a cast-only event?

Points???

Because it's dull you twit, it'll hurt more. Now SEW, and keep the stitches small

Participants can earn points for the number of parades and other festival promotions that they volunteer to participate in. I think the points can be used to earn food coupon books, or comp tickets to give to friends/family.

Yup. Some contracts also require you to participate in a minimum of promos. Can't remember how many. I think it was two or three.

I was wondering how many non-cast members attended these function to get a little MRF fix, meet old friends, heckle, or pick up discount coupons.

I didn't even know there were MRF promos, much less where any were held.

Quoted for truth.  This is news to me also.

Most of them are just MNRF participants marching in local parades, so it's not much of a fest fix, although there are some held at bars. They don't really expect playtrons at these promos so they're not really "in garb" opportunities. They're really just a bit of free/cheap advertising/exposure for fest.
