The MOST romantic date I ever had was in the afternoon not long after Toki and I started dating

We went to a favorite hiking spot and took the left path which NO ONE ever takes. Took off our shoes, crossed the river bare foot, walked a hundred yards down, lied a blanket out under a beautiful Colorado mounatain sky, and had a bottle of wine, cheese and salami, nature and each other. That was the percect romantic date for me.

~A quiet dinner, either at one of our favorite restaurants or at home
~Followed by a drink (or an espresso and something sweet) somewhere on Nicollet Mall (downtown Minneapolis' main pedestrian area) where we can sit outdoors and people watch and enjoy the city lights

a Romantic Evening for me would picked up at my house drove to one of my favorites spots which for me is beside a lake or big ol pond. and a suprise picnic then a stroll around the Pond maybe watching the sunset maybe paddleboating and then maybe a concert to see my favorite band

Hmm.. I'd say a picnic under the stars, sounds weird I know but I've done it before. Pack up a blanket and some yummy food, drive out to a park with wide open space to see every star. Throw down the blanket, have a (very late) dinner and then lay back together and enjoy the cool breeze and painted night time sky.

Mine is spending the day with friends then pairing off later in the evening, mayhaps after other friends have prepared a lovely setting for us to enjoy.

A trip to the bookstore(s) with money to spare!    Then home to snuggle and peruse treasures.  (Hey, we're bookstore deprived in this neighborhood--and I really do get a high from a good book find.)

Time around a blazing fire on a cool night after having done something physical, like a hike or bike ride or even yard work together. Somehow having done some mild labor beforehand is important--maybe so I'd feel I'd accomplished something and thus was justified in relaxing? Not sure.

But seriously...

Since I enjoy hiking and camping and the outdoors and hang around with a lot of people who also do...my idea of a romantic evening is a good day hike followed by watching the sun set from a fantastic view on the top of a mountain...followed by good food cooked over a roaring campfire...and listening to the sounds of the outdoors and sleeping out under the stars.

Forest hikes, walks on the beach, and watching the sun set w/my honey and a pina colada are also acceptable, as is just spending the evening together watching TV or playing video games.

The most romantic night I've ever had - Sir Edward took me on a dinner cruise on Tampa Bay and proposed to me while we watched the sunset on the bay.

I would have to say my favorite thing is to be at a cabin somewhere on a lake, after a day of fun, playing in the water or on land, make a fire in the fireplace (or a fire on the beach), enjoy a good bottle of wine, cuddle under a blanket and watch the sunset..

One of my bests - that I would Love to repeat. And I went through a TON of candles on this one!

I set up my playlist with soft romantic music in the back ground. I had large throw pillows on the living room floor and candles lighting the room. There we had a large plate of fruits, cheeses, crackers, ladyfingers, honey, along with a nice, crisp white wine. We took our time, relaxing, noshing, cooing, and smooching...

after enjoying our slow build up, I drew a warm, vanilla bubble bath in my queen tub and lit more candles there (& the bedroom also), once ready...I led her to her bath where I joined her, continuing our slow, luxurious build to things to come.

After bathing, we patted each other dry with fluffy towels. After drying each other, I led her to outside the bedroom - where traction was much better...kissed her slowly, leading to a bit of a dip, positioning her in my arms to sweep her up as I stood. Holding her easily, I kissed her sweetly before carrying her into my candle-lit bedroom and laying her gently on the bed...
