We are coming!  It's official!!!  We'll be staying at the Hampton Inn in Bastrop, arriving Fri 18th, leaving Mon 21st, in case anyone is interested...

HUZZAH!

And that just clinched whether we go to FlaRF or Sherwood that weekend! SHERWOOD!
I'm humbled, Lady Kett, that you would make that decision because we're coming!  The only thing that would screw it up is if there is ice/snow, but as of today, we are booked in Bastrop!  Looking forward to this trip BIG time!

No ice or snow at Sherwood! Trust the wizard! It will be lovely weather.

I knew the shire would be without, but the 475 miles interconnecting roads between Sherwood Forest and my castle to the northeast can be treacherous sometimes!

Camping - Hoteling - Other

Anyone who will be camping, please swing by the Procrastinators camp and say Howdy.

If you are walking in a clockwise direction around the reserved area (against traffic) we are "three doors" down from the camp ground entrance into faire (aka The Pub).

Hmmm, I think I will be there for opening weekend, plus the week before all the way through closing, plus the jousting weekend. I think I am considered a captive audience. The transition from being a Playtron to a Faire staff has been an eye opening event. Two years ago, I never realized what it took to put together such an event where our energies went to ensuring that the paying folks got what they paid for.

I'm glad that I joined forces with a management staff who knew what the Faire folks wanted and needed, plus was appeasing to the general public.

We are approaching year two. We are looking at year five and beyond. Sherwood Forest Faire is fastly becoming the answer to the needs of the Rennaissance Faire community in the area.

Well Said Mike - I whole heartedly agree on your last point.  And my family is happy to have been a small part of its first chapter.

We will be in a hotel. I like my controlled climate sleeping.  :)
