As the newly appointed Cheiftess of  Clan Doinn it is my honor  to invite all my fellow  M'cracks  to the M'Crack invasion at Sterling Renaissance  Faire in Oswego, Ny  on august 6 and 7'th 2011.

The Clan M'Crack will be invading the Sterling Renaissance Festival, in Sterling New York on August 6 and 7'th.

Ticket info : Regular admission is $24.95 for Adults, $14.95 for Children 6-12

The town of Fair Haven is the closest town to Sterling.10 minutes away.

In Fair Haven there is a place called :
Pleasant Beach Hotel.

I have not personally stayed here but they have received good reviews and they have a bar that got good reviews !


The next closest town is Oswego, NY. 19 minutes away.Oswego is where you will find the majority of your fast food restaurants,the closest hospital, and some small shopping plaza's.

For bigger hotel chains like Marriot,Hilton, etc I would recommend looking around Syracuse which is 45 minutes from the fair.

For those who are looking for a drink before or after faire ,here are a few pubs located in Oswego, NY and a very good Irish pub in Syracuse although not so close to faire as Oswego.

Gtahering for pinning of new members, toasts, speeches, group photo and reopening of the Clan Doinn chapter
Rose and Crown is located down at the bottom of the fairgrounds near the Dunke Pond .

- Dinner with M' Cracks 7:30 pm -- Come dressed in your faire garb and join us for dinner at
GS Steamers Bar and Grill

Right on the water. Nice views of harbor and Lake Ontario.
Good bar selection. They have Guiness ! Serves sandwhiches, chicken, steak, fish,pizza

SUNDAY AUGUST 7-- meet at 9:30 outside of gates in courtyard to the left of gift shop.

This weekend is Highland Fling weekend at faire so spend the afternoon enjoying the higland games, and all that the faire has to offer.

I also want to schedule  a time for  sometime  early in the  day on Saturday( before we get tired or  sweaty ) for  a group photo  of all the clan members.

Beacon Inn has just opened. They are the sister inn to All Season. We will be staying there on the 23rd. Not sure for the 6th. We are planning on being there. But! I'm still nervous about wearing a kilt around Irish.

My current work situation is in flux at the moment, so I don't want to make commitments until I see how things shake out, but we'll definitely try to come out for the M'Crack gathering (and I'm considering joining up, again, I just need to know I'll be able to honor the commitment).

Now I know why Scott hangs so tight to his staff when Irish is around. I will have my own staff as well and you can't use it Irish. Besides Lillian may need to borrow it. By the way this is the staff I started on last year while I was recovering. It was a great distraction from everything.

Remember now we will be having out of town guests  and  must be on our  best behavior !
