Hey all,

For years the feast of fantasy at the castle has been our anniversary stop. One year it was awful (the food was cold and we spent a LOT of time just sitting there waiting for entertainment who didn't show up). But other than that, it's been the highlight of our trip!

I saw that this year it is now deemed the cafe. It is half the price, and the menu rotates to match the theme. I'm all for the rotating menu, but does anyone else have any info on what is going on? Do we no longer go at set times? Are we now just sitting down to eat in the castle whenever we feel like it between 11 and 4? I mean, if that's the case, the inside of the castle is not that...great. I go for the entertaainment, the food, etc. It's an experience.

While it looks like the food is still going to be great (I have a menu if anyone is interested), I'm curious as to what the changes are.

I called to inquire about the Feast. They are not having entertainment at the castle and no souvenir goblets as well  :(.

Village Idiots - Kevin

I like the rotating menus, but the Village Idiots thoroughly enjoyed performing at the feast last year. Sad...

Well, they just lost four customers. We went every year for our anniversary. What a bunch of crap.

I got all that info too from an email, but I am curious about the masquerade. Anyone been? Is it like the old feast of fantasy?

You're welcome for the info. The Feast was our reception two years ago and last year we celebrated our anniversary there. While there we met another couple who had just been married and were having their reception at the Feast. The four of us decided to give it a try and see how things go.

Well, from what I understand it is now a cafe. The food is catered by someone else. The entertainment is sporadic, and you are literally just in a castle shaped cafeteria.

We are celebrating our anniversary now on Sept 23 at the masquerade ball, which is more like the feast of yesteryear. :D

Thanks for the run down Celtic Lady of all the foods I was wondering if it would be worth while. It seems worthwhile as far as foods. But, the whole idea of having a meal with the Queen and the entertainment and do they still wait on you or you just go get the food yourself like a buffet? It was cool when it was exclusive, and not really exclusive just, you paid more for more food and better quality food and the entertainment. It seems they just turned the castle into a place to eat inside. I'll have to check this out Monday. And truly see what has become of this feast with no fantasy.  >:(

Any reports about the Feast?

Celtic Lady

P.D. any reports on the Feast?
Has anyone else been to the Feast and if so, would you be willing to throw in your two shillings on it?
