The Duchess and I will leave the cool mountain air of Larkspur (Colorado) this weekend, and journey forth to what is expected to be extremely hot and (for us) extremely humid weather of the MNRF.  Although we will be dressed in our coolest (as in temperature) noble garb, we expect to swelter.  Despite which, we look VERY much forward to seeing the many friends we've made on previous visits.

Your Grace... should you come across a Pirate in royal blue by the name of Jon Hanslow.....please greet him for me....but be careful, he may be on fire when you see him.

I hope that you and the Duchess are well. Sorry that I could not see you again before I left the shire. I had food poisoning on the Saturday night and could not return on the Sunday.

We're truly sorry to learn of your illness, HM.  We wondered why we were unable to locate you on that Sunday.  Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

We will be more than happy to relay your greetings to John Hanslow.

Be well.

Well, we had a GREAT time at your MNRF!  Got to see the Baron and Baroness both days; saw Lady Kathleen of Olmstead on Sunday (I was hoping to run into her!), and met several other R/Fers there.  Really tried to spread the word about RenDezVous!  I hope a lot of you Northerners can make it down to our humble shire over Columbus Day Weekend!  I didn't see Sitara (I thought I would); didn't expect to see Ms Trish or MG.  Got hooked up with the Friends of Faire booth (bought day passes).  Was pretty disappointed in the Dregs this year; it seemed to me that they have gotten complacent and don't even try anymore.  Well, not this weekend anyway.  Heard Hardtack Jack play a few times at the Mermaids!  The downside to that is that the lines moved slower than I wanted to stand, so we listened to them from outside the entrance.  The big winners for me were The Langers Ball!  These guys really put on a good show!  Just music, and they play well off the audience!  Pizpor put on his great show!  My daughter saw the Danger Committee and liked them.  Caught some of the Puke and Snot show (these guys are always good!).  I'm leaving out a whole bunch, I'm sure.

Tell you what, come down to the RenDezVous and remind me of what I forgot!

Thank-you for having me!

I saw you momentarily in passing but was running late for an appointment so couldn't stop to say hi :(

The Dregs were missing a couple members this past weekend, perhaps that's why they seemed off.

GEEZE Gauwyn!  OF COURSE we missed you!  Your wife too!  Joe and I had to drink your share of the booze; we coulda used your help!  Caught a few songs from 4 Pints Shy, didn't watch a whole set by them either day.
SITARA!  You shoulda screamed out "BUTCH"!  I would have escorted you to your appointment; I can talk while walking!

It was a pleasure to meet you this year Norfolk and your wonderful Bride. Hopefully I can see you again.

The Duchess and I had an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend, although the heat and humidity on Saturday were a bit ... trying.

Dave and Liz at FestFriends -- Thank you so very much for your hospitality.  You are truly the best bargain on the site!
Lord and Lady Spicer -- As always, t'was a pleasure. (And thanks again for the you-know-what!)
Butch -- T'was truly a treat to be able to spend a bit of time in your company.  See you in KC, Mate!
Bud (the Fairy) -- You are one of the most amazing performers on the circuit!
Gauwyn -- You and the Countess were sorely missed.  We're looking very much forward to seeing you in KC.
Our French Friends from AZ -- You are absolutely wonderful, in character or out!

And to all of the many "natives" who I haven't mentioned by name but who welcomed us with open arms, thank you for the wonderful memories!

Likewise Butch! You are coming along nicely with yours as well. Anything I can help you with, just let me know.

As for the Rendezvous weekend, Phil and I have two commitments we cannot get out of  :( They were scheduled back in August. But we will be there in spirit.
