Two small bowls of cereal, gravy maker.  :)  I'm not trying to lose weight and I maintain just fine.  (No beer today, either.)  Besides, I don't eat 2 bowls every day - it was just a crazy schedule today.

At least the gravy I make is homemade, and not full of hydrogenated oils, MSG and artificial thickeners... it's just a little of the broth and fats from the meat, itself, and a tbsp of unbleached whole wheat flour, and some seasoning, for the roux, then more broth to thin it a bit. I don't make cream based gravies.

But I could swear you mentioned being on a diet some time back, as the reason you eat the cereal.  Thought you might be taking the Special K challenge, or something...  ;)

Rani;

If you peruse my posts, you'd notice that I don't post every evening's meal.  As an example, for Saturday dinner, I had two grilled chicken fajitas with double the pico de gallo.  On a prior evening, I had grilled chicken breast, steamed green beans, and half of a cob of corn (unbuttered).  Posting cereal became a point of humor for me.

I see... please forgive my curiosity! Seems I have once again between too literal minded...  Enjoy your grains, good sir!  ;)

reading back, or popping in on a random page has solvd my "what's for dinner" several times now.   Your grits converstaion has me craving.  So tonight maybe chickeny stuffish.. over polenta. Not sure about the chicken but will probably involve a tomato.  hahaha

Craving grits?!? Oy!   Methinks I'll have a couple pieces of chicken over a bed of rice... and a Jack & Coke...

Sandwiches for the rest of this week, with the exception of Wednesday's dinner out, so that I can pack down the kitchen for the move this weekend. Or at least MOST of the kitchen...

I like grits pasty, not syrupy.

Hmmm... not a big fan of grits, but I do occasionally enjoy a bowl of Cream of Wheat for breakfast.  I like them just a bit thin, though, with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter, and made with milk instead of water.

That actually sounds like a nice midnight snack...   ;D
