Opening Weekend/Hotel

So, I see a lot of folks plan to be at Scarby opening weekend and I was wondering who is planning to stay where....

I am thinking we will be at The Hampton Inn for that weekend.  Anyone else plan to be at that hotel that weekend?

is this where everyone is going to be staying all season, and if so are they giving any group rates and discounts for multiple stays?

I know PapaGnome reserves a discounted block for the particular weekend that his group goes (opening weekend this year), but I'm not sure if the property itself offers any kind of multiple-stay discount. Your best bet would probably be to just call and ask them if they're willing to work something out with you.

They seem to be pretty accommodating, and I've never known the staff to be less than friendly and helpful.

Whenever you are going to Scarborough, wherever you stay, ALWAYS try to make your reservations BEFORE Faire even opens!  When we stayed at the Super 8, lo those many years ago, we contacted them in January and made our reservations for the entire season.

The manager back then was Mr. Peter Lee, a very nice man who always worked well with us to accomodate our peculiarities and requests.

If you are planning to book a hotel for opening weekend (04/04-04/05) you should make your reservations NOW. The NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup races are at Texas Motor Speedway the same weekend and most hotels within 50 miles of the Dallas area end up booked solid.

I just booked opening weekend at the Super 8 and closing at the Knights Inn.  Closing seems to be the weekend that's all booked up.

(Now, I just have to get that FoF pass...)

 I made my reservations too.  This year I will do the Season pass instead of Friends of Faire.

Does the super 8 have a coffe pot in the room ?  If not I will need to get one.  Me without my morning coffee isn't a pretty sight.

Just made my reservations for opening weekend (April 3,4,5) at the Super 8 in the Drunken Gnome reserved block. There is one more room available.
