I just finished reading "The Pirate Bride" by Shannon Drake. It was interesting on a number of levels. It gave some background of the political scene during the golden age of piracy, and gave me some insight into why a young woman might disguise herself as a boy and turn pirate. If you're wanting to develop a female pirate persona, this might give you some good ideas. It was such a good read that I HAD to finish it before starting to read, "Brsinger", the latest in the Eragon series, which my husband finally finished reading on Friday.
