Has everyone gotten their FoF letter?

We RSVP'ed my daughter (the only FoF this year). 

I will be an serf this year, orientation is tomorrow.  They said I will not be working Sunday, now I just have to see if I can come Sunday (I've never worked there before so I don't know the rules yet).

Just got an email from Scarby.  Here's the body of it:

In just two weeks it will be opening day of our 29th Season and we will once again "Throw wide the gates and let Scarborough Faire begin". We look forward to seeing all of you here.

The last day to have your photo ID picture scheduled and made in the office or to E-MAIL your picture is Wednesday, March 25.  After that you will have to have your picture made at the gate.  We highly recommend emailing your picture to pictures@SRFestival.com so that we can have your photo ID pass ready when you first arrive this season.

OPENING DAY – We will have two lines for those who do not already have their photo ID's.  Line #1 will be for those who have sent in their pictures.  (It will be the faster moving line.) Line #2 will be for those who still need their pictures taken. (It will be the slower moving line.) We will open the lines at 9 am on opening day at the Souvenir Gypsy Wagon outside the front gate.  BE SURE AND BRING YOUR ONLINE PRINTED TICKET!

Friends of the Faire will be able to have their picture ID's made at the Friend of the Faire Preview event on Sunday, March 29 as well.

Speaking of which, the last day to RSVP for the Friend of the Faire Preview event is Wednesday, March 25. Remember this event is for Friends of the Faire only.

Due to problems with the photo ID printer, Scarby is practically begginf people to email their pictures in by Friday April 3 if
they do not already have their pass.

I emailed mine and walked right up to the ticket booth and got it.  The line was atrocious for the camera.  This was during emplyee orientation.  I would hate to see the line when guest show up.  My daughter was at the FoF event and said it was pretty bad, luckily she emailed hers as well. (I would like to have been there but I was told I was not welcome (~sniff ~)

We worked the camera/printer at NTIF.  Having to pull up the info, cross check, shoot photo, crop, then print is a MINIMUM of 90 seconds.  If not all the info (like the barcode from ticket) is on there, then add another minute.  At an average of 2 minutes apiece, they can only do 30 in an hour. 

Yes, they probably need a second printer, but that type is NOT a standard photo printer, and it's expensive as I understand. It not only puts down your photo, but the barcode on the back, and holo security layer on the top.

Perhaps next year.
