Yep, he's married.  The little woman has already broke out the stick...  :D

Oh, I think that happened long ago..  He's already admitted that she's the one "in charge", so to speak!  ;)  Might even be the reason he wanted to marry her in the first place!  :D

If i were a weather wizard, Houston would have all four seasons, Rani... we may have to talk to Queen Bonnie & Merlin the Elder and get them working on that!

Sorry to be so long getting back to you on that... I've spent  some time in Houston.  The in-laws used to live there. You already have four seasons. Summer, Hot Summer, Really Hot Summer, and F*** me I think I've died and gone to Hell.

Bwwwwaaahahahahahaha!!!

Merlin... you absolutely CRACK me!!!  :D

As for me... the first two I can generally handle... and about half of the third... but it's that last one that would send me running for the mountains!  Of course, I think anyone with any sense would want to have a sweet little mountain retreat in the Rockies...  ;)

Fraser, you might be right!  Between Queen Bonnie and Merlin (or maybe BOTH Merlins, Sr. and Jr.) they could see about fixing that for me... errr, uhhh... I mean, for all of us!  :D

October is my favorite time of year, anywhere... but AHE at TRF is always perfect, no matter what the weather!  I loved it last year when we were all freezing, and the year before when were were roasting!  As long as I'm with the right people... it's all good.

I was born and raised here in Oklahoma, though, and I have never been comfortable with the climate here, and have never acclimatized, so that doesn't always hold true for everyone... but as soon as I moved to Colorado, I knew it was the place I had spent so many years searching for.  I wish there had been some way for us to stay, but sometimes circumstances conspire to change the course and direction of our lives, and riding the wave keeps us from drowning in the undertow...

Besides, if I hadn't come back here, it's likely I would never have made it to TRF... and that right there goes a long way toward making up for the last ten years.

I was born and raised in Texas and the Fry an egg on the dashboard season is something I have never been able to stand very well. All it does it make extreme cold difficult for me also.

Maybe its just me lol

It's not my favorite weather but it doesn't bother me and I like it most of the time its only towards the end of summer that it gets old.  Of course when its hot hot hot out I spend as much time as possible at the lake or pool lol.

But no matter the temp I love living in Texas.

Some people like hot weather, and some prefer cooler temperatures...  I'm sure it has something to do with genetics, as well.  Most of my ancestors were from cooler climates, and the one I have most of, the Cheyenne, were from the Dakotas, until the whole Trail of Tears forced march that herded them all into the reservation pens here in what was then No Man's Land.  So my genetics have been predisposed to cooler climates for several hundred years, now...  :D

I'm from the southeastern Irish coast and live in Texas now. I guess I am used to it now though.

I was in New Orleans since last Wed, never had such wonderful weather down there in all the times I have been.

Most of my family is Scottish or Irish so I guess I just got acclimated to the heat.
And I actually prefer cooler weather but the heat doesn't bother me at all.

Oh I agree. I hate hot weather, but I think being in the army and living in Texas for a while has helped, a little  :D
