Was there Love?  Was there Romance?  Did it involve Hamsters?  Did Zoe go on another walk to look at the stars?  Come now, some of us have been unable to make it down to faire so far.  Give us the gory naughty details!

Francisco Paula

I went on saturday and there was much love and romance in the air, either that or i was near the elephants. I spent most of my day being Sean Danials second on his giving roses out to dozens of ladies. Now he was my second on giving one certain lady 3 roses but that is a story for another time. There was much flirting going on and the adults were in the mood to flirt. Oh only pics i got was of Snots daughter at the front gate, the parade and than the water wheel, i know a very slow picture day for me.

Oh Dan wore this old pirate out and i had to spend most of sunday recooping.

Hmmm think that covers most of what i did. Oh i did miss getting in on the pirates confronting the spanish ambassador about him capturing Captain Morgan and killing him, the pirates are disputting this lie by the ambassador. So in two weeks time both parties will get together again and bring there proof and i hear that Captain Morgan may make an appearance.

Yes there was Love as I saw a wedding. There was romance when one of our forum members wooed someone special with MANY roses. Zoe watched intently the Chancellor, Prince Edward and Capt Jack fight with wooden swords with children. Could one of them be the one? Things that make you go HUMMMMM! No Hamster were hurt this weekend at faire but rumor has it that Larkspurshire will be the host next weekend of "The Running of the Hamsters"

All in all it was a great weekend and crowds seemed high. At times people were so thick as Toki put it you could swing a dead cat... or was that hamster, and hit 100 people with it.

My beautiful sister visited again and is officially addicted but sadly she cannot come anymore this year. Thank you to everyone for making her feel very welcome at the faire. And to those who helped her very low self esteem by noticing her and talking to her. She even got a rose... but it was a friendship one.

I actually talked to the queen as she acknowledged me first. WOW I felt honored and not like an invisible noble for once. Participated in taking the Chancellor down to possible get Captain Jack (The new one) his letter of Marquise and me my Duchess title. I and Sir Garath unfoiled a plot of treason last weekend to over throw the King and Queen and replace them with lesser more common folk.

I practiced scorched earth policy on myself. Ouch, me not so overly large tracks of land hurt from practicing that policy.

Took many photosbut it was a slow day for me as well and even did a photo shoot with Capt Jack (the new one). Saw many friends and meet a new one from Iowa. Gauwyn of Brocknell I hope you had a wonderful time at our faire. It was a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful wife and son. I hope you visit us again sometime. Have a safe trip home.Hopefully Toki and I will see you again if we make it to Minnesota.

Hope everyone had a wonderful safe weekend.

I am sad that only 2 weeks remain. Looks like Toki and I are planning on both days closing weekend. That's just a plan as Toki wants to celebrate something that day and I agree.

Pinkie and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend, as usual.  We met Gauwyn of Brocknell and his lovely family on Saturday in the shade a half hour or so before canon, and had a pleasant chat.  We talked with them several more times both Saturday and Sunday, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.  As it happened, we met again in the parking lot at end of day Sunday, and tried to talk them into joining us at the Kansas City festival for the Labor Day weekend.  They are considering doing so.  At any rate, they professed to having been very pleased with their visit to Colorado, and look forward to returning.  Thanks to all, especially LD and Toki, who helped make them feel so welcome.

Thank you Baron and welcome to the forum. It's always nice to see you and Pinkie at faire. Have a great week and we shall see you again on Saturday.

It was great meeting you all and we had the most wonderous time.  We will be coming back here for sure.

We really hope to see all, either at Minnesota or Kansas City.  M'Lady said after we left Sunday that we really need to try to make Kansas City - and usually what she says goes!! :)

The Squire Alec also enjoyed his first real faire and cannot wait to attend another!

Yes Gauwyn it was a pleasure seeing you before the opening cannon and sorry i didn't catch up to you later to see how much you where enjoying our little hamlet.

For those that missed it there was a confrontation between the pirates and the spanich ambasador. Guess the ambasador is claiming he captured and beheaded the famous Captain Morgan and the pirates are disputing this claim. The King has decreed that both parties in two weeks time must bring there proof of there claims. Now it is rumored that Captain Morgan shall be making a visit to our hamlet to dispute the claims of his death.

(okay so keep an ear out this might be a fun thing to catch and maybe get some pictures i am going to try and be with the pirates for this so can't take pictures)

So the weekend was alright as weekends go (great attendance but hot weather) up until the very end of Sunday where it turned to crappy mccrap weekend.  I don't want to talk about it at length here since that can easily end in tears (not averse to PMs as an alternative however) but I'm sure word will spread as it always does and you will all be "in the know" in due time.

As for me this week I am going to not sing and not talk as much as possible so I might even be able to utter a peep this coming weekend in song or otherwise, though I'm not holding my breath.  :'(  The whole thing is ridiculous.

Cheers. I'm off to drink my weight in tea and honey.   Glad you all had fun...love!   :-*

(Maybe I can hide a boombox with our cd under my dress and mouth the words....game on.)
Taken out of context I must seem so strange.

Ditto Ren Barbie.

But for the most part, it was a great weekend - lots of flowers going around, we got to sing a love telegram to our favorite matchmaker, and there were the occasional patrons making out in the street. It was also nice to have so many friends and family come visit us this weekend, and also to have one of our former singers around working at a nearby booth.

I loved seeing (well, being wooed by) Sean Daniels on Sunday, and Don Juan (just for a moment) come blazing out of the parapet closet like Superman out of a phone booth on Saturday! I can't believe there are only two weekends left, and I'm determined to make them the best so that I have a reason to come back next year.

Hope everyone else enjoyed their days!

I did not have a very good time this weekend, for more than one reason.  I'd rather pretend most of it did not happen actually.  C'est la vie.

I had a Great Weekend! I went to a fun class at the zoo on Thursday and Friday. I worked 8 hours on Saturday, standing in one spot and saying "Have a Good Day" over and over and over. I worked 8 hours on Sunday, standing in one spot and counting large amounts of money. I sat at home for a few hours and got all caught up on the drama over dinner. Woot!
o/` I'm a little teapot...o/` No, I'm not, that would be silly. ::)

Spent most of last weekend combating a possible stomach flu from the previous weekend. Loads of fun. Probably will pop up next weekend for a day. *need at least one more fix of ren stuff before the end of season*

Sounds like I didn't miss a lot during the love and romance weekend...but good luck to those who did woo someone.

Adriana Rose

We had a fantastic weekend! WE finally sold out of roses thanks to Sean Daneils and his side kicks!

The Garland Girls got the sweetest suprise when one of the Stefanos Trunk theater boys brought us some very nice trinkets rather than flowers.. he explained that it would have been tacky to bring us flowers since we work a flower shop!

It was nice not having ANY gully washers at all this weekend! Lets hope that the last 2 are the same!
