Hello all,  I am new to this forum, found you all while researching the GLMF.  My family is from Richmond, Va & we are traveling your way this weekend to visit friends & attend the faire.  We will be staying in the area thru the weekend, then heading to Amish country & hershey, then PA ren. faire the following weekend.  My question is, do you think there is enough to keep us entertained (2 kids that are 7yrs old girls - and tired of getting "knighted") for both days for us to buy weekend passes, or do you think we can cover most things in just 1 day.  I'd really like to spend sunday with our friends, but don't want to miss out on stuff at the faire if we don't go both days....it's a dilema, so I thought I'd ask you "veterans" & see what you think.  Do we go one day & see it all in the 1 day, or should we go ahead & buy the weekend pass?  (also don't want to waste the $22 I would spend on weekend passes for hub & I + extra days for the 2 kids if you think we can do it all in one day)  Please email panda143@verizon.net if you have some advice for me!
thanks a bunch

Greetings, Pam :)

While I've never had the experience of taking young children to GLMF, I can tell you that they have a very nice playground area for the children.  We also have an incredible facepainter, camel rides, games, and storytellers.

Enjoy your visit to Avaloch  ;D

Gee, I'd hate to ever tell anyone not to go to a faire as often as possible.  But honestly, you can enjoy the faire in one day.  Of course, you can probably not get to every show, and there are many.  But if you go gate-show-to-pub-sing, you'll have a full and wonderful day there.  (Take the kids to the water dragon.  It's cool!)

GLMF is GREAT for kids.

When I went last year, I had an all weekend babysitter.  But as we were walking through the faire, I noticed soooo many things my boys would have loved and wished I had brought them with me!

I would go for 2 days if it were me, my kids (ages 8 and 2) would be more than entertained the entire time!

My Lady Pam,

I am Sir Michael, I have been taking Princess Emma ( she's 9 now) since she was 3 yrs old. You can really use the two days if you want to see all the shows. The lil' ones will have a blast.

Enjoy!!!!
