I was there on the 12th, though I don't think my garb could be mistaken for casual, plus I carry a bow and quiver.  However, I still search through the photos I took that day to be sure I didn't get a shot of the two of you.

You may want to check Flickr.com  There are several that post Ren Fest photos there that I don't believe belong to this group.  Do a search for Michigan Renaissance Festival then sort by date.  You may stumble across the photo.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone on this board happened to be the same guy who took my sister and I's photo at the faire on Sat. 9-12? I was wearing a green and gold tudor type gown and my sister was wearing a reddish mroe elizabethan gown with a riding hat. whoever it was stopped us and asked to take our photo with a pro looking camera. anywho, just curious where it ended up, would like a copy if I can find it :). thanks!

Oh and I guess I should introduce myself eh? lol. name is Rachel, hail from the thumb area. been going to MIRF for a few years now. this was the first year we decided to go in garb. I have to say it was a blast! I wish I would have done it sooner! so yeah, guess that's about it, hello all!

I'll look through my shots but I usually shoot first then hand out a business card with a web address on it so you can find your pictures later. Did the photographer have a beard?, bald?, in garb? wearing a hat?

Jon.

Nope, no buisness card. hmmmm, trying to remember what he looked like. I know he was not a big guy, on the slender side. might have been in garb, but it was hard to tell if it was acctually gard or just casual clothes. he was nealing down most of the time he took our pic., and then he just kinda said thanks and walked off, so i didnt really get a good look or act quick enough to ask where they were going to end up. I don't think he was wearing a hat, can't remember if he was bald, i don't think so tho. Had a pretty nice camera, it was quite large and fancy, sorry I don't know a thing about cameras, other than I can tell when ones a pro one, lol. that's about all I can remember  :-\

Thanks again! Yeah, like I said, I can't really remember what he was wearing, with all the hustle and bustle, just escaped me, lol. I do remember whatever he was wearing, it was dark colored, black even i think, i dunno, I have a horrible memory for stuff like that, lol! I will check flickr and see if it ended up there, thanks :)

I guess PBase isn't back to normal... It's doing strange stuff. I did get one shot uploaded though.

Let me set this shot up. We were taking a break in the alley/street sitting on the steps of the castle (next to the Guinness Pub). The queen was walking by with her court and set herself up so I could get a couple of shots. She stopped for a minute and used some cool bubble makers to well, make some bubbles. As she continued to walk past I thought I'd try to get a shot of the bubble before it hit the ground and popped. You know, just for fun. Well, I got a few shots but the one below turned out really really nice. I should also note that this is a crazy tight crop of the original shot. What I mean is, the picture you see below is only about 10% of the original shot... Anyway, the back of the queens head is on the left, out of focus. But if you look closely at the bubble you can see the queen (in focus), some of her court, the castle, the sun and all sorts of stuff, twice. The top half of the bubble shows things right side up and the bottom half of the bubble shows things upside down.

Nice pic, Jon!  It takes a moment looking to gather all of the subtlety.  I like it :)

Great shots calicogirl. I especially like the "Zang!" shot.

I see the Queen and the village in the bubble. Very cool. I looked harder since someone mentioned sublety, I just thought it was a test shot of a bubble at first, didn't pay much attention.

Wow, I need to proof read things before posting them.  :o
