OMG!  Food at your faire sounds heavenly!  I really don't eat much at the MN faire.  All pretty wonder bread plain.

**Slim Fast until next weekend for MG**

;D
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

No worries MG, you'll walk off what you eat within minutes lol!  One thing about faire is that you can eat all day and be hungry all day... all that walking will do it.

That is true! Plenty of exercise.....

Did anyone notice the turkey legs on Sunday though, a bit small they were.......very small turkeys or large chickens they was. I know too that they gotta make a few pounds off of the sale of the buggers, but $7 for about 50 cents worth of turkey meat...I'll stop complainin' though, and probably eat 3 or 4 more of 'em this season.

I want the fruit and cheese plate they sell after the wine tasting at the Cat and the Fiddle!  It was just perfect last year in the heat, and I'm hoping they won't sell out this year before I can get one!

You can get the fruit and cheese plate at the Rose and Crown Inn. It was $5 and was pretty plentiful. I'm assuming that it's a standard item on the menu.

It is indeed a standard item on the menu.  Anything that comes out of the Rose & Crown Inn Kitchens is amazing.  Do try the enchilada soup! It's absolutely phenomenal!!...and the meat pies....and the Shepard's pie....

Oh, nice!  The only one I saw while I was there was the offering they had with the wine tasting, and I just got one of the leftovers.  It was $5, though, so it's most likely the same thing.  Good to know... thanks for the info!  :)

I agree with Squire Gaby. Met my parents there for lunch. Dad had Shepard's pie, Mom had the cheese and fruit plate and I had the Tomato Mozzarella dish. All of it was so yummy! Will definitely go back.

My daughter and I split the fruit and cheese plate, and we couldn't finish all the cheese!  It could have used another bunch of grapes, a bit of pineapple, but overall it was wonderful, and it will be a staple on any trip we make to Scarby from now on!  So nice and light, and refreshing, and they even gave us extra crusty bread for free!

The muffalato sandwich at the Rose And Crown Inn is very good! But I can't tell if they serve it every weekend... ???
Save the Earth (it's the only one with beer)!

If I'm not mistaken it is also a standard menu item

I like the turkey legs, but they're hard to eat with all this facial hair!  Steak-on-a-stick is good... Rose and Crown is AWESOME!!! ...and then there's the beer...the fifth major food group.

My newest favorite:  Steak and cheese sandwich.  Go to the French Booth by Victor's pasta and get the cheesy bread, then go to the steak on a stake booth and get a nice, medium rare steak.  Put steak between slices of cheesy bread...and NOM! :)
