Great turn out for Pub Night!!  Thanks to all who made the long trip to Elk River!
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

Who needs a pub night???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
What works for everyone?  What doesn't?
I am open pretty much any evening.  Is there any suggestions on where to go?????????   The Claddagh is nice, but do we want to explore other options?

Pub Night!!

If Maple Grove is a good "neutral" area but we're tired of the Claddaugh and their crappy service, why not try a non-pub kind of place?   Wild Bills Saloon is lots of fun. Fantastic, melt in your mouth ribs, and chicken strips that are made on the premises. We went last time VV was home and had great service despite it being super busy. Food was hot, plentiful, and damn good.

Just a thought.  :D

I'm up for anywhere, though!

What about 3 Squares? It's across the street from the Claddaugh (easy for everyone to find) and the food is incredible!

My evening are open.  Either Wild Bills or 3 Squares sounds good.  What place has the most room for a large group?

I've never been to 3 Squares but I'll back good food at Wild Bills! Availability is on a week by week basis for me. Love to do a pub night though!
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!

I have never been to Claddaugh. Service not so good?
I am in that area often. Have wanted to check it out.
You would think they would welcome a bunch of festers and give them some extra attention.

It would be cool to be in a pub setting but who am I to talk I haven't made it to one yet. Will try for whatever you all decide.
I believe you have had them at Merlin's Rest before. I do think that is a nice homey pub.
There is a newer pub in St Lous Park, Cooper's Pub. Went there once. Kind of big and open not as homey as smaller pubs.

The food at the Claddaugh is pretty good, but not as good as it once was.  They have really crappy service.

I think the Claddaugh is still a solid choice for popping in at lunch time but their food/service for larger groups has gotten pretty bad-even when we call ahead and they know we are coming.

3 Squares actually has a rather small dining area with tables very close together. No room for even being off to the side unless we go in and take up a back corner in the bar. I do love their food, though, and I believe Tuesday nights are half price bottles of wine.

Wild Bills has a smaller side along the bar that we could take over if we get enough people there early enough otherwise it's another wide open dining room.

I agree with Winterland that it's more fun being in a pub atmosphere but our choices are limited in the 'burbs. It seems like since the bulk of the attendees are coming from north of the metro area, we've kind of kept the pub nights up this way, too.
