I'm up for trying someplace new.  Never been to any of the places mentioned.

Has anyone been to Jake O'connors in Excelsior (we slipped into town a couple weeks back for a football game at Concordia - my nephew played for the visiting team.  We did not have a lot of time, that is why we did not give notice (or warning :) ))

Anyway, we thought there food was good and decent atmosphere.  And they take reservations (even for larger groups)

This is a link to the Finnegans website and a contest they are having called, Drink Like You Care.  Should we give this a go?!  Could be major fun! If we do it at a pub and let them know what we're doing, we might be able to get in on some specials.  :o ;D
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

We went to Jake's once. I personally love it but I don't think everyone else shared my opinion. :P I like the Dubliner in St Paul. It's right off 94 and there's a business park across the street that doesn't mind Dubliner customers using their parking lot after work hours.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I don't know about anyone else, but St. Paul is too far to travel on a "school night" for me.  I would have to leave about ten minutes after I arrived there.  It is an hour drive at least for me, and 6:30 am comes so quickly.
I have always thought Plymouth/Maple Grove is a good compromise.  It is about half way for most of the pub night regulars.  However, don't let me be a deciding factor.

The pub in Excelsior is nice, but I think it is out of most people's way.  Plus, parking is not ideal there either.

Maple Grove is fine with me. Just throwing out another suggestion. :)

There's also the Cooper in St Louis Park (part of the West End development), there's lots of parking available there.

I'd love a pub night too! Just waiting for someone to set the date. :)

Tuesday the 8th? or would people prefer this week?

I'd be in for a pub night on the 8th.
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!

Thursday the 10th works for me.  I was just throwing out a date to get the conversation going  ;D

That would work for me - and I'll bring someone with me (in addition to Lord Spicer) if its closer to Maple Grove... or Coon Rapids... (how about Blaine  ::)!)

Thursday works for me, as well.  I can't make Tuesdays-the Girl has dance class in Buffalo until 9.
