There are 4 of us from Galena desparately hoping to visit Scarborough in 2012.  Steve & I visited for Rendezvous a couple of years ago, and haven't stopped talking about how wonderful it is!  Now we've convinced 2 of our friends (wasn't hard, we said, "we're thinking of going back to Scarborough in Texas.  Wanna come?"  "Sure.") to come with us.

But - and here's the big but - right now the tickets are around $260.  When we visited last time, they were $109 round trip, and when wildthingjew visited TRF in October, she paid $109, too.  So unless they get down below the $150 level, we won't be able to make it.

So all you Scarby persons, I'm asking for collective vibes to be sent to American Airlines so they get the wonderful idea in their heads to hold a fare sale and charge $109 from Chicago to Dallas!  Thanks!!  ;D

Thanks, Merlin, at least it is a downward progression!  Now we have to get another $50 to $70 off, and we'll be there!

I don't like the sound of "BAM!" when I'm flying...it tends to make me nervous...

Sir Douglas of Waterbury (Sterling Owner) I have posted on the Sterling thread for years after reading comments and suggestions we try to address our guests needs quickly and directly. This and other forums are extremely helpful to me in better understanding my friends needs so that we may immediately affect positive (in real time) change (in season) and to better plan for up coming and future seasons. At Sterling our guests are us. And we are you. You are the life blood of our little village in the woods. I would invite you to came and visit us at sterlingfestival.com and in person next summer and receive free admission with valid Texas photo I.D. in 2012. contact Lady Lisa at 315-947-5782 or lisa@sterlingfestival.com for details and a reservation/ conformation as our special guest at least 10 days pryer to your visit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Huzzah! I always knew that Sterling was a top tier festival.
Sterling is high on my list of faires to visit at some point and just bumped higher on the list.
I have no clue what my summer plans are this year yet but I will definitely be considering this. Honestly, the free ticket itself isn't what made me want to come but the fact that you offered it shows that you truly care and I appreciate that quite a bit.

Have to get past Sherwood and Scarby before then though lol

*I wonder what kind of rum treats I can find in that little village in the woods*
*Got more Rum?* "Here, Try This!"

Coy, for us, the weekend passes are a lifesaver!  The rate of the daily passes makes the journey down from OKC even more costly, especially since we want to stay for the entire weekend, but saving that little extra with the two day pass will give us at least a few more dollars to spend inside the gates, and every little bit helps!  A free child's ticket would help a lot, as well, if there are any special promotions in the works!  ;)

You may come to regret that offer, Sir Douglas *grin*.  My hubby and I have been thinking about organizing a Scarborough Performing Company Field Trip to Sterling this summer.  Many of the SAPA folks have expressed an interest in attending Sterling, and it was my home faire for over 20 years before we moved to Texas so I would like to go back and visit the Old Stomping Grounds, so to speak.

We may end up on your doorstep! :)
