If I recall correctly, this is also the same faire at which one can only buy one tiny cup of mead at a time.  Can't do the 'pour two cupfuls into the mug' bit.  NC ABC laws, according to the vendor I chatted with last year.

It would be nice for CRF to give it's guests a "real pub" which would consist of; SITTING DOWN, enjoying conversation with friends while consuming adult beverages purchased at said pub.

There are plenty of places to buy a beer - just no place to sit down at them.  They're all like the "pub" along Kenwood Lane at Revel Grove, with not so much as a barstool.  From what I have heard, this policy is deliberate and unlikely to change.  IIRC, they also don't start serving beer on Sunday until after noon.

Well, actually, if you don't mind being all the way at the end, next to their "mud" stage, Dextre Trip for most of the day, formerly Ded Bob's stage (he was moved to perform on Don Juan & Miguel's most of the day performing stage last year) there is a tent bar with a couple of picnic tables and even the privies are nearby.

No the one right in front of the petting zoo is the caravan stage or something along those lines. Now if you take the lane right next to this stage, them you will get to the part of the faire I was talking about.

Yes, North Carolina does have a "more restrictive" view on alcohol than some areas. It is for this same reason that adult beverages at the tailgate can not be seen openly flowing. Alcohol being consumed in the parking lot could be enough cause to yank the alcohol permit from the entire faire for the season! That is why we must be subtle.
