Djursholm Slott is located in Danderyd Municipality, within Stockholm urban area in Sweden.

The castle includes building components from the late Middle Ages, noteably a stone foundation. It was the main building on the estate Djursholm, which was owned by the House of Banér from 1508-1813.

Mâlain - "Mediolanum" - was founded in 70 BC. The castle we now see mostly was of the XII century, built on Roman ruins. The castle was shared in the fifteenth century between two heirs.

Qalaat Al-Kahf is a medieval Ismaili castle located around 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Margat, in northwest Syria.

Lutsk High Castle, also known as Lubart's Castle is located in Lutsk, Ukraine.

The castle began its life in the mid-14th century as the fortified seat of Gediminas' son Liubartas (Lubart), the last ruler of united Galicia-Volhynia. The website in Ukrainian is translated badly, but you get the gist of it.

Tzippori Fortress ruins, also known as Sepphoris, Dioceserea and Saffuriya are located in the central Galilee region, north-northwest of Nazareth, in modern-day Israel.

The early 12th century brought the Crusaders to Palestine. They built a fortress and watchtower atop the hill, overlooking Saffuriya, and dedicated it to Anne and Joachim, the parents of the Virgin Mary. This became one of their local bases in the Kingdom of Jerusalem and they renamed the city La Sephorie. In 1187, the Crusaders were dispatched from La Sephorie to fight the Battle of Hattin, against Saladin.

Today we vist Rudchester Castle in England on Hadrian's Wall. The Romans knew the mile castle as Vindobala.

Rudchester remained a place of refuge nearly up until the Norman conuest, but was abandoned due to dual pressures from the north and east. Today only faint traces remain.

This castle was the ancestral castle of the family of the Weissenegg. The first known Weißenegger is one Wülfing von "Wizzeneck" who lived here and probably built the castle in 1120.

Hoogstraten in Belgium actually boasts two castles, Kasteel Maxburg and the Gelmelslot (also known as Kasteel van Hoogstraten) where the Count of Hoogstraten lived.The Gelmelslot is at 51.402249, 4.780860
This moated castle was built around 1210 and the name is actually in Norwegian, nut Dutch meaning Gelme's Castle. The castle legend says that a previous castle on the site was built in the ninth century for a Viking Princess.

Kasteel Maxburg was built in the eighteenth century by a wealthy nobleman named Max van den Berghe who named his castle after himself.

Bobovac was a castle and fortified city of medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was built during the reign of Stephen II, Ban of Bosnia, and was first mentioned in a document dating from 1349.
Bobovac contained the crown jewels of Bosnia as well as being the burial site for some of the kings of Bosnia. These were Stephen Ostoji?, Stephen Tvrtko II and Stephen Thomas. There is a grave with a female skeleton next to the grave of King Stephen Tvrtko II and it is assumed that the grave belongs to Stephen Tvrtko II's wife, Queen Dorothy.
