BLOODY HELL!!!!

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Mairte

Good to hear. Though of course he has had 10 years to train others. :-\   Its a boost to confidence but somehow I dont believe this is over by a long shot. We have to be watchful.

BLAKDUKE

The only thing I dis-agree with is that he died last week.  He died in the Tora-Bora bombing.  The reporter was right no one of his stauture could have survived all these years without being turned in somehow.  Keep in mind that after The Tor-Bora bombings not one credible sighting or any credible voice communication was ever heard from that %$%%&&(()&^%$# individual.  It would be impossible for someone like that to keep quiet for long.  He would have been impelled to speak with something like "hello America, you bombed the hell out of us but I am still here"   Yet nothing, ergo he has been deaqd for years.  I think the guvmnt went along with the 'he is alive'   scenario in order to keep troops over there.  IMHO.  This and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee

I think it is a good thing he was buried at sea. #1 it will prevent the grave from being desecrate.  Tell me there are not people out there who would gladly do something to the corpse or such in a way to 'get even'. #2 It also prevents his grave from becoming a shrine.  There are fanatics who would want to steal the corpse so that they could say they had part of his body, or some such (think like there are bits of saints). Or that fanatics would come to worship at his grave and such.

It prevents each side of the extreme from doing something to the body. Granted it still keeps the conspiracy theorists in business, but that is a whole other can of worms. ::)
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Hey! Just because you aren't paranoid DOESN"T mean that they aren't out to get you. :P :D

DonaCatalina and Blakduke you are not the only ones who think that. It seems the timing of his "demise" to be rather "convenient".

While it may be wrong to celebrate the death of another human being I can not help but be glad at this news. The reason is personal for me. I am an EMS and rescue person. For me I lost 300 brothers and sisters on 911. For me justice was done. This is a post I put on another site and I wish to share with you.

I want to take this moment to thank all our military personal, both active and inactive. Because of you and your brothers and sisters in arms my 300 brothers and sisters, of the fire, rescue and ems service, who died on 911 can now rest in peace. The brave people on the flight that took down the terrorists in PA and prevented untold deaths can stand down. The 3000+ people who was taken on that fateful day can now enjoy their eternal rest. I will still be sadden each year on September 11th, but my heart will be forever grateful for your sacrifice. May this be a message to the rest of the world, no mater how long it takes the USA will seek you out for justice. God bless our men and women of the military!

I wasn't part of the midnight events, but I went to Ground Zero today. It was absolutely chaotic with police, reporters and ordinary people coming to either place flags/flowers/notes or just pay respects. It was very moving actually, nor did it feel like a 'celebration'. I don't know if redemption would be the right word, but that's immediately what came to mind.
