Great shots.

I wish I could have been there. Is the camera new?

If mine eyes do not deceive me, that is one of the members of the Worthy Waites of Whimsey, a group of musicians who play very period accurate music AND instruments. They are not a high-energy band like VaNa MaZi, but rather more like a chamber quartet. They talk about the history of the music and instruments that they play.  We enjoy them quite a lot, both the music and the learning experience!

The camera is new. I moved from a very good amateur camera to a very good pro camera about 3 weeks ago. It makes a lot of difference. Still haven't figured everything out and won't for quite a while. Still carrying around the manual.

Opening weekend had great light. Hope to put Sunday's pics up tonight.

Another fine set of photos.

I can imagine what you mean about the new camera. But before long it will be putty in your hands.

Hadn't gotten around to looking at the Sunday photos yet from either weekend.  This is my first year camping out there with the Friend of Faire pass, now that my girlfriend is part of the faerie mob.  Speaking of new camera equipment, I'm hoping to get my 85mm f/1.8 lens back from Canon for this weekend.  Its autofocus motor decided to go out on me the first Sunday, so I decided that would be a good time to join Canon Professional Services for the enhanced and discounted repairs and such.

Didn't take as many photos as I usually do. I must have been running my mouth more than
the shutter. Anyway here are just a few I'll post for Opening Saturday.

I'm right there with you! This past Saturday with the late Pride of Bedlam show is what I most want to look at next. I was really enjoying shooting them all with the ultrawide lens. I'll warn you that it may be next week before I can actually post them though, as my dance card is very full this week. Looking forward to the Dropkick Murphys show tomorrow and getting to see Othello on stage Thursday though, before returning to Sherwood Friday.  8)
