If you're coming in Saturday morning then you won't have to pay for camping.  Just follow the road in toward the parking lanes, but instead of going down the road between the lanes, turn to the right and head for the camp ground.  The guys directing traffic generally won't say anything or try to stop you.

I am actually kinda worried about this being an issue.

It's nothing to worry about. Last year over Closing Weekend, we all camped right next door to Safe Haven with no problems. Hell, we even invited them to come over and partake of Thanksgiving dinner with us. Not once did I see any one of our group heading over there. If someone had, it's likely that we would have dealt with the problem child most expediently.

In short, you're perfectly safe and secure. We know what Safe Haven is and approve and defend its intentions. Think of McLotofus as the older, armed brother to Safe Haven. We may be loud, raucous, and oftentimes inebriated, but we'll take care of you guys to the best of our considerable abilities.

Opening weekend last year I tried to get you to come along on a commando mission to take out their generator about 10:30 and you wouldn't go.  Luckily they turned it off shortly thereafter anyway, so you probably kept me out of jail.  In case I forgot to say it, "Thanks Zaubon".

Thanks luv!  Well, I was just informed that our son has a football game Saturday morning....so now I'm not sure what time we will be there.  ugh...  i get the feeling it won't be until the afternoon.

Per a suggestion on another thread, I wish to identify my small family with Clan McLotofus... I realize the stringent membership rules require much of me (haha) but I shall persevere...

We will definitely be heading up from Victoria in the afternoon hours of Thursday - might not make it for the feast, but I'd gladly offer my years of cooking experience to the clan kitchen if so desired!

I bring with me the two lovely young ladies - one of which has reached the age of full knowledge exceeding that of her parents, the other still innocent and cooperative... the handsome young squire who speaks his mind quite loudly... and the quiet but friendly and laid back Lord of our house... who wont speak unless forced to... (haha)...

Might we consider ourselves included for Thanksgiving weekend?

Aiming for at least one other, but that one's a go for sure.

Folks I can't emphaze this enough. If you're camping with us or even just joining us for the evening, please put your name and a rough headcount on the list.
If you look at the list for opening weekend, I can guesstimate 20-25 people, I fed nearly 40!
I'm glad eveyone showed up and hopefully had a good time, but it was entirely serendipitous that I had enough food to feed everyone.
There is no charge at our table, and we want everyone to enjoy, but I've got to know your coming to be sure and have enough food.

No kidding there Z. You got lucky and overshot expected demand. I seem to remember counting way more than planned, and you said so as well.

People, get up and be counted!!! Z needs to plan for numbers!!
