If anyone is near Cambridge, Ontario, sadly our Fabricland is closing down, so yesterday they marked everything down 50-75%.  Still pretty full, and great deals to be had.  A beautiful drapery fabric I had my eye on for $30m, I got for $10m, so I bought six :) Not to mention everything else I bought, spent over $300 *gasp* (will probably go back tommorrow)   :)

Oh! and patterns were really cheap also, I bought a bunch of McCalls for $3.99 each.

ooOOOOooooo

cambridge is not far from me - sadly I have no $$ for fabric - that store had alot of really unique fabrics that were not available at other fabriclands!

how long are they still open?

I bought my petticoat fabric for my pirate outfit there!

Hello Orphena :)

They have to be out by October, but who knows when they will sell out of everything, could be sooner.  If you do ever come to Cambridge for fabric, you have to check out the Lens Mills warehouse.  It is on Queen St, two minutes off the 401, and it is in the basement of an old victorian mill/factory.  There is literally MILES of fabric bolts to choose from.  (Well literally is a strong word, but my first visit there lasted three hours).  Prices range from ridiculously cheap to semi expensive, with emphasis on variety :)

Lady Caroline - I am well acquainted with that Lens Mill Store - I often bump my head going down those stairs!

There used be a place called "raine's fabrics" in the building adjoining it - I know the coffee shop is still over there - but Raines fabrics had all kinds of upholstery and ultrasuede - I was so sad when it closed! For a while, Lens had expanded into that building - but it has been some time since I have been in there.

I will do what I can to check out the fabricland - thanks for the heads up!
