Stunning Rowan! All that gold rope trim must've been very tedious!
The silk piping I got on sale at Hancock's for $2.98 yd.  I bought all they had.
It was slow going, due to the fact I couldn't find my zipper foot for the machine.
  I gotta get more organized.

Problem is you will have to bury the coat in the garden for a few weeks to give it that worn in look! :o

Can't bring myself to do that with this one. As all the ensemble will all be new, I think I will let it age naturally.  ;D

Don't blame you there.  One year of wearing with no washing and you will have a 'seasoned' coat ^_^.

Kathy, Lady Kett & Sidekick are going to look amazing, I just know it. I'm adding a weekend to our season schedule just to get to see them in it!

I guess that means I need to save you a spot... <duck> Kidding! Trust me you have a spot! <starts warding off evil wizard spells>

Lady Kathleen - so excited on the progress. To steal a dark lord quote, SQUEEE!

Rowen, that is just lovely.

Darklord, you will totally rock, but I think a few more SQUEEs are in order.  ;)

When it gets here, I won't need to type it. All Yall will HEAR it.  ;D

I wlorked on Alterations today.

I will get the lining put together and sewn in. While I am at my daughter's over the weekend, I will do the finishing hand work. The coat should be ready to go out Monday.

Everything everyone has done looks beautiful.  I love looking at this thread and the Finished Projects thread.  So much talent in 1 place!

Rowan, where did you get the fleur de lys fabric?  It is stunning.

I got the same fabric as Rowan from Hancock Fabric.  I don't know if she went someplace else.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Okay so the Venetian I should be working on?   It probably won't be done by this Saturday.  :-(

However, there is a good reason!   Although it's not a sewing project, per se, it's a sewing related project!   I'm redoing my sewing room!

My sewing room had become a one stop disaster area.  Really.   So, I went to Ikea and got some new shelving and other organization tools.  I've been putting everything together and cleaning up the entire room.  It's a project on it's own.   The sewing room was starting to look like a case from Hoarders.   ::)  Pictures of the new sewing room, hopefully, this Friday evening!
