Miss Genevieve Gale's wardrobe is coming together nicely. :)
I found some fun things at Marshalls today:
A drop dead gorgeous gold brocade Ralph Lauren ladies vest/waistcoat that actually- miracle of miracles!- fits me in in both the waist and the bust. Not sure what to put with it yet but when something actually fits me I figure I HAVE to buy it! Hell! I'll figure a way to work it into my mundane wardrobe! LOL
And for the more rough and tumble look I found a pair of black and brown pinstrip twill trousers
And a brown blouse with an interesting sleeve detail that begs to have the brown plastic buttons replaced with brass!

Sounds wonderful, Sealion!!!  I can't wait to see pics of it all put together!

I'm still gathering far too many things, and may have to organize a bit of a SteamPunk swap meet at TRF, just for those of us who are over-eager, and have gone off the deep end with hoarding all the best garage sale finds!!!  LOL  I went out today and found yet more stuff, all far too cool to leave on the shelf, but I'm just not sure how many different characters I can garb in a single day... or how much like a "junk-man" I want to appear while strolling through the lanes!  ::)  I could conceivable not even be able to walk, if I tried to carry all the really cool things I've gathered...

Still, I frequently find that the things I acquire were not even meant for me... I was just the conduit they used to get to their rightful owner!

Anyone care to come browse through my SteamPunk Trunk Friday evening before Faire?!?  ;)  :D

Oh yeah. I bought a Nerf Maverick and some paint today too. :giggle:
I am soooooo sick of sewing ren garb after all the stuff I had to make for Pennsic that I'm having fun finally having time to play around with the steampunk stuff.

we're starting to get into this genre as well.  We just created a patch for Steampunk that we have up on ebay.

Oh yeah!!!  Got the cloak today, and it's pretty darn good, but not quite so lush or huge as the one in the ebay pic...  Still great for the money, though, and I love the color!!!  Already have plans for adding gorgeous trim to it to increase the length by a couple of inches...  ::)  LOL

Nitestar, how about personalized initials w/the gears?  I know I'd love a red T S.  Beautiful design, btw.

Nitestar

That could be done.  With the gears in the background.  Thank you for the suggestion!

Nitestar, let me know when you post a personalized patch.

Hey Taffy, groomporter, or anyone else with info-
I am seriously considering going to WindyCon. What advice do you have for someone who has never attended any kind of a "con"?

I'm a con virgin, too.  There are some past WC's schedules floating around the interwebs.  One of the RF members posted earlier that WC didn't have a lot to offer and she stopped going.  I'm making the trip because the Foglios are the Guest Artists of Honor.
