I read about that last night!!!  Not sure how they'd get close enough, but I guess there was a lot of stuff just set out on tables...  It was pretty awesome looking, though, and I'm sure the entire S/P community will recognize it if they see it now!

Thanks Taffy and Rani. The mini topper is actually a one of a kind I bought at Animefest. I finished my bustley skirt thing a minute ago...haven't taken pics yet. I'm trying to come up with a belt/pouch situation, just something big enough for money and my phone. Any suggestions?

That's tough, Ar, something small that won't get in the way.

I don't know if I'm going to have time to really put in and do what I want to with my ensemble before AHE.
So much going on, and not enough money or time.

I'm just really excited to see everyone too.


On a side note, its in the discussion and works to have a Steampunk ball up on campus at North Texas sometime in November or maybe December not too long before finals or maybe after everyone gets back into town in January. The DFW area is brimming with active steampunkers and we've had some really cool events in the past prior to me getting into the genre. So, I thought well...I know a ton of people. Why not plan something myself? We can rent out the Concert Hall of my own dorm hall for free.

Ok, as soon as I saw this mask I thought of that Nazi villain in Hellboy...then I decided to look up an image to see...and I found this...

Steamcom: A Steampunk Convention

Sounds pretty cool, but I'm still trying to budget TRF for a week later, so there's no way I could get there!  Maybe some of you zeppelin-setters, though...

I was referring to Elo's post about her steampunk party thing. I'm trying to workout going to TRF tho I dunno if I'll be in Steampunk. Greg will go if I do for sure. I will definitely let you know if we figure out a way to go Taffy.
