Breandan, have you been to the Space City Con before? How was it?
I'm curious, is it well attended?
Do people come in costume, cosplay, etc?

Breandan

Been a guest there since the first one. The first year, roughly 2,000 people +/- attended. Last year, they broke 10k easily. It was as packed as DragonCon in there, hence why they had to move it to a larger venue. Cosplay is a BIG thing at pretty much any con, but there were a lot of cosplayers out there even by that standard.

Sir Martin

The Mediaeval Baebes released a Christmas album a couple weeks ago.  Here is a video of one of the selections:

Wish "Of Kings & Angels" was also being released as a DVD.   ;)

So... what's the policy on costume weaponry, such as my lovely Damascus dagger, or say, a pair of Japanese sai if I do a Cosplay character?
Thanks!

if it's sharp, keep it in the scabbard, pretty much.

Hmmm...Ok.  The thing is, the two Sai don't come with nor are meant to be carried in a scabbard.  Their "belt worn" most of the time.  Then again, they're not sharp at all, mostly cylindrical with a somewhat pointy end.  They are Cas Hanwei made, but have a bit of a costume/ceremonial look, so maybe they'll pass?  Ever hear of anybody getting kicked out of the con for any reason?

PollyPoPo

Probably still need to peace tie them, 8 figure wrapping and tying, leather straps would look good.

I think ordering Medieval Babes CDs (and DVDs) is a wise and worthy pursuit...  ;)   ;D
