I saw both Thumper and Sealion this weekend @ MIRF, but didn't get a chance to chat with either of you.  :-[

But both of you looked fantastic!!  ;D

Nicely done my friend.
I love that hot pink shoulder treatment.

Here's my Fleur de Lis gown all done and worn on Opening Day of MIRF:

I saw you this weekend.  Lovely gown!

Lovely work, everyone!

Here are my projects from the last two months.  It's been a frantic push through garb this season, and it's not over yet.

Pirate bracers 'cause I got bored - I need to work on my intimidating pirate face

Last minute doublet for the husband - too big, but I was in a hurry

Here are my projects from the last two months.

I love the matching noblewear and I especially love the blue skirt with the guard and that red bodice - Nice work - Hope to see it in person at PARF soon!

*the trumpets are blowing.  Do you hear them?*

Well, it's not up there with anyone else's garb in the difficulty department, but I love my bloomers!

And my favorite:

A funny story about the last picture.  I was in a little alcove by the Pig & Whistle Pub at Bristol, and Steve was taking the picture.  A group of people came up behind him peering over his shoulders trying to see what was going on as I was "flashing."  I yelled out to them, "I just made these bloomers yesterday," and the whole group applauded and said they were great.

But my FAVORITE thing that happened was when we were lined up to carry the Excalibur Leather banner in the parade, a woman walks up to me, shakes my hand and introduces herself as the Costume Director.  She said my bloomers were very cute, and she figured I was wearing them for pirate day, but they were very bright, so would I mind letting down my skirt hikes just for the parade.  Of course, I said I would, and I did, but Steve and I had a good laugh over my "bright bloomers" standing out in the Bristol parade.  And she liked my bloomers!  I was most impressed with that.

Now my son said that since I know how to make bloomers, I can just lengthen them and make him and my husband solid color pants.  Sure, in my next lifetime!   ;D

Alisoun, how wonderful you look!  Oh, I mean how fearsome and piratey!

Lady Renee, congratulations on your sewing triumph!  It's a slippery slope down to the dark side of sewing.  Be careful or before you know it you'll be using some of those patterns you bought!  LOL

Huzzah to the seamstresses/ers!
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

MG, I think you put into words my exact feeling the whole time I was sewing:  seam-STRESS-er!

Hopefully, it's like anything else, the more I practice, the less unfamiliar it will be. (note:  I am drinking a big glass of mead when I type this.  Thus, my sewing experience memories have mellowed a bit.)
