Here are the closeups of the bodice.  Let me know if you want to see something else.
I LOVE the trim.  I tried to find something that resembled the Tudor Rose for the center "brooch" piece.
You can see that there is a very subtle diamond pattern in the material.  My chemise has a similar diamond pattern.

And I forgot to mention that the bumroll is indeed one of hubby's old socks!

Lady R!!!!  It looks fantastic!  Why didn't you tell us? We'd have been cheering you on along the way!!

Ha, ha, I bought the pattern about 3 years ago, before the old forum even crashed!  I think the impetus for finally making it was the face plant in the Texas mud I did at Rendezvous.  I am finding when I get too hot, I go over.  We went to a faire in June & after an hour and a half, I had the bodice off, the skirt pulled up, & spent 45 minutes under a shaded canopy then had to leave.

So I decided I better have something for when it's so hot I can't bear it.  I told my friend about it, I went over her house, and we did it in 1 long day.  So that's why I never said anything.

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments.   ;D       Hopefully, it will be the start of a sewing career to make me garb.

WOW, what great work everyone!!!!!
This one has a bit of a backstory...my 20th high school reunion is this year, and our mascot was a Pirate.  The reunion is the same day the St. Louis Pirate Festival opens....so, I decided to make garb in my school colors.  Here is the result:

My boyfriend's high school mascot was the Buccaneer...so, garb in HIS school colors should be forthcoming very soon!  ;)

Here is my "almost" first sewing by myself. (My bloomers a while ago, I started but messed up & my sewing friend finished them).  I say "almost," because I wanted a semi-Italian dress, the coolest thing I could find, because I am finding I can't take the heat anymore, and Bristol gets really hot.

Excellent job, Lady Renee!!!!!

As requested, here are close ups of the coat.  The "venice" lace is some hand tatted lace I inherited from my great aunts (I got the "practice" laces...amazing stuff!!!).  I used silver studs and pearls to accent the lace on the navy blue material.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with it!  ;D
