I'd never dream of wearing the coat to faire in the middle of summer but I'm pushing myself to get it done so I can wear it to an SCA event on Saturday. It's been cold and windy.

Livia's zimarra is finally looking like something. This afternoon I sewed the collar on and measured, trimmed, and pinned the hem. I'm debating calling it a day or putting in a movie and stiching the hem. Odds are good the movie and hem will win. lol

Corset Side A

Corset Side B

A reversable Corset for Lady Joyce Anne. She sent me fabric for Side B. I had to seam it down the front in order to keep the pattern going, for the piece was too narrow to lay on a fold. Side A is the Waverly Print called FRENCH QUARTER. I had some of the Dupioni Silk left over which I used to make the Bias binding. There are side tabs. I could easily make a nother set of tabs to add if needed.

On Monday I will take  the Irish Dress, Bodice, this and anorther Corset I have yet to make to the Shoe  Repair for grommetting. That will be a big order going through thicknesses I cannot tackle.

That looks wonderful.

*I kept wondering why you were taking things to the Shoe Repair, but then you explained it before I had to ask.  Makes perfect sense now. :) *

I just got my boyfriend's doublet material in the mail <grin>. It took us forever to find something we could agree on, he HAD to have burgundy and gold, and every single fabric he chose was either too expensive or just not suitable. I found this remnant on ebay from a furniture upholsterer, supposedly around $80 a yard, and I got it for $10 for a little over 2 yards. I just ordered the Margo Anderson Gentleman's wardrobe pattern, along with the Fantasy Fashions doublet pattern, not sure which I will be using yet. He also wants sleeves, I'm thinking in a dark gold. If anyone has any trimming ideas or pattern recommendations I'd love to hear them, seeing as how this is my first doublet. I had to take the pic with the flash off, it was making the burgundy look hot pink heh.
