The Wand worked!  The vet tech is nice and all seems to be working out- so Scarby is a GO this weekend! I hope Tachi does OK- but this should be much less stress than being boarded.
I will wave the wand and hope your Peke gets all better, Cat! If anyone can heal him, it is you! He has a wonderful home! Hugs!
Doing the happy packing for Scarby dance!

OH so glad you get to make it!!! We had a new rammylamby this am. His momma is Funky Sheep. I love spring! Of the roses you gave me the cuttings of so far 2 have come out pale pink ruffled. Waiting for the others to bloom! The climber I took one cutting off of in Magnolia is blooming now...OH how I love my roses! Cat

Queen Bonnie

I am glad too! Now just need to move this rain away by tomorrow.  Bringing my rain cape just in case Mother Nature wins this round of wet weather!
I know I gave you several of the same rose cuttings. I wish I could remember what I cut? Might be old Blush? Or if it is very full and like an English cabbage rose more white with a pink blush might be Clotilde Soupert. I have so many roses- I cut what looked healthy last Fall.  If you have an apricot rose- it is Safrano.

AHHH! Var and I had a grand weekend at Scarby!
The rain did cooperate and was gone by Sat AM. The day was cloudy at first but perfect faire weather not too hot- not too cold. I recruited many more FOKTOP Knights and sang The Scotsman at the unofficial pub sing! I also did a bit of bartering and am very happy about that! Sunday was cool and breezy with not a cloud in the sky!
Perfect faire weather.  Var attended to Royal Guard duties and I drifted which ever the breeze blew me! Fun to see Avid from the Tenn Renn faire!
The weekend went by WAY too fast!
Tachi was OK and did much better with the Vet tech coming in to give him his shots. He ate well and seemed happier. He goes in for a check up on Wed AM.
Today was back to the dratted reality- but I dealt with the huge tree limb that fell in front of Meow Manor and a stuck lock on a rain warped door and muddy garb and grocery shopping!
I like faire much better!
Looking forward to Pirate weekend and hopefully a day trip or 2 back to Scarby?

I am busy spraying Meow Manor with Nargle be Gone!  POOF***<<<< Away with you dratted Nargles!
I had quite an infestation here lately.
The tree limb was solved- the city carted it away for me . Then Starbucks fax machine decided to make my life interesting by calling my number every 3 or 4 minutes. Annoying in the extreme! I called the closest Starbucks and beseeched them to MAKE IT STOP!
That worked.
My Royal fishies were acting strange and hiding and I found out why. A green Heron was trying to make them his lunch.
I got out Lord A's BB gun to put a scare into the heron- I could never hit it- and a BB jammed in it sideways!  Then no hot water upstairs. What a day.
I have spent today fixing all the problems and I am just about done! Tired too. I have hot water and the BB is out of the gun! I hope Nargle season is over here!

Seems there have been nargle infestations everywhere. They ate the well pump, now the belts on both mowers have to be fixed... one stretched out one broke! And we think we have the rat nargles gone from the feed room.... those dudes were MONSTERS!  So I need a bit of Nargle spray too. Perhaps we should all spray to rid the states of them!

Well puppies had their 2nd pup shot yesterday... then we had the vet out and had the calves dehorned. The peke is doing great. He is such a doll. Will get pictures of him so I can share. Doc checked his eye and says it is looking good and to just keep doing what I am doing. Asneeze is sure he found heaven. He got new toys today and part of a chicken Subway while out on the town! He is now adjusting to all of us and has decided that Mike will not hurt him... he acted like he had a man abuse him but he is a VERY forgiving sort and now wags and begs for Mike to pet him. I think he is not very old..9-12 months.... Can't understand people dumping dogs!  Well wish I could have made the faire but this place is nuts! Cat

Queen Bonnie

Tis the season for Nargles! I'll send you the heavy duty spray Cat! LOL! Can't wait to see your new Peke!
Took Tachi to the vet for a check up.  He is OK for now- but the diseases he has are not curable and we fear his kidneys might fail. I will love him while I can- but he is so dear to me.I can hope it is for a while! My vet is so nice! Tachi is well loved there and all knew his loud ROWWWW! He is like a Siamese rock star!
Going on a day trip to Scarby on sat! Yayyy!
That is easier than a weekend for me. I want to get in as much faire as I can!

I can't wait for you to meet Asneeze. He is just a DOLL! His eye is looking WAY clearer now... I may beat the ulcer with luck!  He even plays now... amazing what good health does for a doggie! I will get a pic of him to post... I need to just haul out the camera and get snapping!!!!! The Lilliput girls are growing but are still small! They are SOOOOOO cute and sweet! Well if you need a new kitten Oreo's momma is preggers again! I got word today. Mike was brave enough to tell me after his boss said that... I told him I am tempted but I will refrain from getting another 2 kittens!!!! 4 house cats is about all I can handle!! Cat

Queen Bonnie

I want pictures! Glad the eye is clearing up too! You are a good nurse Cat!
No kittens for me right now. Taking care of Tachi is about all I can handle.
If I were to get another kitten in the future I would love another Siamese.
Good news!    The heron got hit  in the tail by a bb. It made an AWWK- and flew off and has not been back.I only got a few feathers. It was not hurt. I hope it stays away! My poor fish have been hiding for days. I wonder if any koi are left?

If they take the small fish they can eat I do not feel as bad as when they try to eat the big ones and just stab and kill them... Glad your magic is holding up... BB magic that is! They are such gorgeous birds but they can be hard to deal with. Most likely a younger one who is looking for an easy meal!!! We had a HUGE scarecrow at the old place to slow them down.... My mom and I had built a 12x12 by 24" pond in her old garden and it had a waterfall and HUGE koi (both bf/lion and plain) the herons stabbed all but a few then came back and got those as well. Made us crazy! Then we made the scarecrow and it slowed them down!  GRRRR I should get off here and sew!!! Cat

Queen Bonnie

Perhaps I need to do a scareheron? It was BACCKKK!
I have never made a scarecrow. I was hoping one would just show up from Munchkinland! LOL! the singing dancing ones are the best!

They make those Motion Controlled Sprinklers to dissuade animals from being on your lawn or garden.  If you point the sensor toward the area of your pond where the Heron lands, the resulting spray from the sprinkler should scare it off.

Thanks David! I will check it out! Dratted heron!
I had a great time at Scarby yesterday. The day went by WAY TOO fast!
The weather was OK but got a bit hot and sticky in the afternoon. Glad I decided on my cotton gauze gown.
I went to the $5 wine tasting. The Entertainment was a group of very talented German Dancers from a high school dance club.
The German Twins did their rap also.
Sorry, I hate rap and was not amused. Rap at faire is just so wrong! The wine was good.
I Saw so many friends and listened to some good music and walked a lot.
I went with Melkar. He was so good to take me! We had a nice drive up and back! Very congenial company!
Tired today- but my kitties are happy I am home!

Glad to hear you had a good day at Scarby!

Looks like the "Motion Activated Water Spray" type of Animal Repellent is available from about $48.

You couldn't ask your cats to go on a rotating Heron Patrol?  :D
