ok, chorizo and butt-crack should NEVER be in a paragraph together! LOL

We're usually up by 7ish making our haggis and eggs  :D

Ach, a woman after me own heart!  Nothing like Some Haggis first thing in the morning!  Great for a hangover.

I believe in the holy mother Menudo for a hangover - it'll cure what ails ya.

Ach no, lass... that would have me visiting the jakes before 10 am!   :D

The most outstanding thing I ever had at TRF was......
A pickle.
I had been on a low sodium diet for about 3 years when on opening day last year I fell to temptation and got one from a traveling vendor.  I swear it was the best thing I had ever eaten, my mouth now waters at just the thought.  I may have to fall to temptation again this year.

Hey, a pickle on opening day at TRF is a really good idea.  Replace lost water and salt from sweating the bajeebus through your garb!  I bet if TRF had pickle pirates (guys pushing pickle carts) for the first few weeks, they'd make a killing.

I did think of one more thing that made an appearance last year.  It's a fruit and cheese plate gotten from the place across from the POW.  That was my favorite thing from the New York Faire and I'm so glad it has made it down here.

c'mon, and haggis doesnt? One year (that crazy rainy awful closing weekend 2 years ago) we had black and white pudding, then haggis, then more black and white pudding, for our breakfasts... and let me tell you I WAS shouting 'gaurdy loo!"

I had a blast that weekend!  i was there on Saturday... raining and colder that a witch's tit in a brass bra.  it was great to see Iris and Rose from about 5 feet away... standing under umbrella's and drinking like fish.  I always seemed to make it to POW just as the Heavens would open up.

I'm not saying it wasnt an AWESOME time at Faire (remember Sunday when the front finally passed and everyone was pointing like OMG what's that strip of blue in the sky- is that- the SUN? woahh!)

it was just NASTY and awful at night- and we were in a pop-up that time! (i must've been psychic or something) lol I'm one of these people who cant sleep if they're too cold- and yes, I was TOO COLD! When you wake in the morning and have to crack ice on your table to get breakfasts tarted- TOO DAMN COLD! But, it was nice to see faire in a different way- we did spend most of Saturday in POW... and it was nice to see so few 'danes about as most everybody who WAS there was Rennie... lol I was ever so glad for my fleece pants under my skirts, though! Too bad it didnt snow there like it did that year at Scarby!

um... FOOD! I'm on topic, yeah!!!

Never heard of it...but I've been up there nearly every weekend for two years straight and still haven't seen everything so it might exist.  ???

Actually, at the New York Faire, that's what they are called.  Of course, there was Pickle Boy, but that's a tangent that moves into a different part of the forums... ;-)

How are the pierogi's at Polonia?  I grew up in Pittsburgh and could get them from real Pols... might be a flashback/taste of home.
