I had a great time at the Bastille Day bash, too! (despite not wandering off to look at stars . . .)  I'm not a big dancer, but I really like it once a year, and Sunday fulfilled my quota.  Plus all the amazing costumes were worth going just to look.

The rest of the weekend wasn't bad, I was singing on the stage by the mermaid fountain when the tree by first aid got struck.  I don't remember what went through my head or when I decided to move, but I was suddenly inside the mask booth.  Yay Thunderstorms!

Sunday's weather was great though!  Just a little shower to cool things down, no rivers washing away the patrons . . . very nice!  And we did NOT sing at the Iris and Rose train wreck show, which was NOT so much fun!!!  I love that crowd, they're always in a good mood.

Oh, yeah, and there were hamsters.  Everywhere.

considering that I know is that he told me he was leaving to go on a stroll with you, I don't think there's any harm done.  however, I have heard rumors of him making out with someone, which I can't confirm.  things spread quickly around here, even at a party where everything is pitch black!

We shall be there this coming weekend - looking forward to it!  Is there anywhere special to congregate?

Prepare for rain as it has rained every weekend. Also prepare for 90 degree temps with some humidity

I looked at the weather forcast online and it says upper 70's with mostly sunny skies - I know they are all liars  :P

Castle Rock itself isnt exactly a city that never sleeps.  infact most of it is closed by 9 on any given night.  You could always climb "the rock".  that will explain itself when you get here.  or if you have a car and some time the coors brewery is about 45 minuites away.  it has a fairly intresting tour with a few cold ones at the end.  it also puts you closer to denver where there is always good fun trouble to be found.

Ooh, sharing time!  Who was it Zoë?  Anyone I know?  ;) Bastille is always good for that and I'm glad for you.  I know I can say for a fact that I definitely did NOT stroll under the stars and definitely did NOT stroll under them until the wee hours.  Never happened.  I have also NEVER, EVER seen a hamster at faire, or anywhere else.  I don't even think they're real.

And now to commemorate "Opposite Day" I WILL go do all the laundry I've been putting off.

By the way, my mother is a severe weather meteorologist and I work for her company during the week.  The product is worth checking out.  Any locals who watch 9 News have probably heard about it but check it out anyhow:  www.weathercall.net

To add to what Hey Aren't You said....the flash to bang rule for lightning is good for everyone to know, especially out at faire.  Most people know how to figure out how far away lightning is by counting the seconds between lighting and thunder.  What you may not know is that if the lightning is less than 30 seconds (6 miles) away you are absolutely within striking distance even though it seems too far away.  It's especially important at faire considering the throngs of people and the lack of good severe weather shelter.  Just keep in mind that if there is lightning even anywhere in the general vicinity you should get inside somewhere and not just kick it under a tree, etc.

I love you all and though I'm sure you and your hamsters would make delicious kabobs  ;D I would rather have you not be cooked until well done.
Taken out of context I must seem so strange.
