Having a hard time watching so many of the things I grew up around, that have so many memories attached to them, be tagged for sale this weekend, while my grandparents move from the house they've lived in for over 50 years... 

As difficult as it is for me... how must it feel for them to relinquish their independence and move in with their child, who now takes on the role of parent to the parents...? 

The For Sale sign in the front yard nearly dropped me to my knees... and I cried as I had to choose the meager handful of trinkets that now shine like rarest treasure in pride of place, waiting to be passed on in turn...
