I recommend this book. It is well written using the history of the Crusades as his guide line.

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!  Sorry to have been absent for so long, my humblest apologies.  Sometimes that evil specter of Real Life creeps up and distracts you from things.  That with no Faire in sight for me for near another two months adds up to a bit of a absent minded monk.  But more so than all that the fact the Lady and I found out that a future Brother (or sister) is on the way has kept me doubly distracted.  I will try to be more mindful of my duties in the coming days.
