Lady M, many native American tribes equate Butterfly medicine with Transformation.  Something in your life is moving from one phase into another, and the message may be that you are ready to explore this new phase.  

The stages of Creation are:

Egg - thought or idea
Larva -  making a decision
Cocoon -  going within to develop the idea
Birth - sharing your creation

It's up to you to determine which stage you are in, and what your next move should be...

Some other cultures believe that Butterfly brings messages from the world of the spirits, so if you have a loved one who has taken that form you might be receiving a message from them...
