Thanks Taffy.

If anyone else needs/wants a pair, I can post the link where I got them from. They were 20.00 after shipping and I got them within 3 days after it got dropped in the mail.

Let me know and I'll post the link for ya.

Hey... those are my goggles!!!  LOL  Aren't they just divine!?!  If you have a Dremel with a brass brush the paint comes off a whole lot quicker, though...

That site also has some other really Steamy accessories in brass, and I scooped up a couple myself.  Really reasonable prices on most of it, to. It's def worth a look!!!

Which site? I found these at surplus shed. Where'd you get yours I'm always looking for new tidbits.

I found them at the SteamPunk Emporium, which is a section of the Gentleman's Emporium.  I guess since they're the same set, for the same price, I just assumed they were purchased in the same place...  LOL

Did yours come in a really cool small oval tin, also?

But that's the part I really like about it!

Next week I'm bidding on a 228 piece attachment set for my Dremel on eBay, with all the different things I need to get my list of Faire crafts taken care of, and that's really the only thing that's been holding me back from finishing some of these things (like taking the black paint off my goggles).  I've started my favors, all three sets (  ::) ), and am busily ripping the side seams of my skirt at the moment, to insert the upholstery panels to offset the lacing I'm putting down the sides, and I've found some antique brass colored grommets for that (WooT!)...  Just got word that my corsets are shipping next week, and I have a blouse to wear underneath, although I still have to dye it the color I want...

There are at least a hundred more things... but I still haven't started that list yet...  ::)  Yes, I'm a slacker, I know...  :P  LOL

OK Throwing my hat into the Steampunk ring

Side viw with my sausage curl hair piece.

I need to do something withthe elastic band and most likely replace it with a hair comb. I'll be wearing my dress next weekend at a Sci-Fi/Space Opera party and will make sure I post photos of anything steampunkish. and I'll post some photos of my dress as I need to make 1 minor adjustment on the skirt so it's not falling down around my butt.. It's Victorian.Gothic.Steampunk done in Burgandy with black and white.

If you want to see all the photos from the hat just go to www.delaneyalysa.com/steampunk

What a darling chapeau - it's quite fetching.

My skirt is all but complete.  I need to find a waist fastener that I like better than the one I got for it.  Today I put together a jewelry embellishment for it & that needs to be tacked on.  I liked the walking skirt pattern so much that I purchased some black/black floral/paisley jacquard & some black venise lace for a hem treatment.  the fabric is extraordinarily elegant and gorgeous.  This will be my Chicago skirt.

Our Target never got the black military jacket, but they do have a very nice black vest now.  It's got a very nice deeply scooped neckline.

Beautiful hat Lady Delaney!

I had planned on working on my bustled overskirt today but spent the whole freakin' afternoon filtering and bottling my first batches of cordials. I'm going to wear the overskirt with a plain black taffeta skirt from Moresca for Labor Day but intend to make a proper ruffled underskirt before Chicago. I did spend some time this morning playing with my hair and putting it up in a Victorian hairstyle that I found an instructional video for. I like the way it looks with the cobalt blue streak peeking through here and there. ;)

Sealion, please tell me you're planning to bring some of those cordials to Chicago?!

Did you hear that, Sealion?  TRF awaits.

I wish I could visit TRF! I've had to pass on an invitation to another event in Texas at the begining of October because it's too darned expensive to fly and too darned far to drive! I can go Greyhound to Chicago for less than $50 round trip, though.
As for the cordials I'm sure the ones I bottled today will have been consumed by then but the black cherry I started today might be ready by November. ;)
