Really really wonderful SW characters.  I love that there's a place in SP for SW.

That has got to be one of my fav SW pics, EVAR!!!  I love that Vader is in a Frock coat, Leia is in a corset, and C3PO doesn't really look much different at all, just a bit... tarnished!!!  ROFL

Thanks, Esc... made my morning!

Love the SW's SP action figures, those are neeto.

Thanks everyone oin the hat. As I mentioned I need to remove the elastic band and put in a hair comb. That is this evenings project along with getting laced into my corset and figuring out just how tight it needs to be to adjust the skirt and have the jacket fit. Not sure I will get a photo tonight but it will be forth coming soon most likely next weekend. I considered getting this wonderful Top hat I found in a hat shop in Estes Park. I've admired it a long time and know it will look wonderful with a scarf around the crown and some veiling off the back and front that will cover to just past the eye's

Thanks again.

I've got literally about 2 minutes of sewing to complete my adventuress walking skirt.  Today I cut out the black fabric for my evening skirt & ironed the interfacing onto the hem facing.  Tomorrow I'll start complete no. 1 and start no. 2.  I've never made a skirt that had hem facings before, so that ought to be interesting.

EDIT:  Skirt no. 1 is complete!

Finished seam ripping while I was at my mom's today for the weekly visit to her and my grandparents (who are all cohabiting now), and am just about to go cut the upholstery panels for the sides!  Have to go tomorrow and pick up more grommets from Hancock's, and figure out what sort of lacing I want to put in.  It's between twisted cord or ribbon, and I'm having a hard time making up my mind.  I might just have to try them both, and then decide.

I'm still looking for a huge stainless steel stockpot so I can dye a couple of things, but I don't want to spend a fortune on one.  I think I'll try Garden Ridge this coming week, since they frequently sell the really cheap, thin ones for just a few dollars, and it will be something I can just dedicate to fabric dying.

We'd better be careful, or we're going to get moved to the crafting forum!  LOL

So, uhhh... anyone gonna be able to make it to DragonCon in Atlanta GA, this coming weekend?

OK So I put my Victorian/Goth/Steampunk on so I could make notes on a few adjustments I need to make on it. Seems the lady I made it either made the skirts to large or I got skinnier ad my corset tighter on the bottom and tighter on the top as the jacket is a bit tight but fights OK but the bottom gaps (wish I was a seamstress)

Any way, since I had it on I had Toki take a few photos of it

You can see the  skirts are a bit long plus I wil be wearing 3.5 inch heeled boots withthe dress and I need to adjust the hooks around my waist a bit smaller
