Possibly the LEAST liked participant of the Carolina ren fair.

We aren't fans of them either but that picture is perfect.

Jon.

Only thing I wound up shooting at the MiRF Smoker today.  Just dug the light.

Wow, that's a great shot.  If someone would have been standing in the rafters for this, it would have been quite the epic shot!

I was thinking that exact same thing.  I was looking at it thinking that it made for a pretty cool background, but really needed a subject to set the whole thing off.  Perhaps if I can get one of my compatriots to imbibe a bit more next time, I can talk them up to the rafters.

Here's a few more HDR images that I shot today....

DB, the HDR stuff you've posted the last couple days is just sick.  And by sick, I mean good.  And by good, I mean frigging outstanding.

Yet another great shot, Xanthenes!  Looking at your avatar, one would almost thing you were able to "shoot" yourself!

Fantastic shot!

Speaking of shooting...I aim (no pun intended :p) to make a shirt someday that says, "Hurt my camera and I'll shoot you."

This is an incredible shot, and there seems to be an epic poem waiting to be written about the knight it portrays...

He certainly looks familiar... although the colors are a bit different!

Well Rani with your poetic talent I'm sure you could come up with one in no time, cause the last poem I read of yours was absolutely amazing.

Just my .2 cents worth.

This thread is all about the visual imagery, though... and the talent here is awe inspiring, to say the least!!!  One of my very favorite threads, and I appreciate all of you who post such wonderful artwork!

Thank you, m'lady!  Days like yesterday, which was pretty well packed, occasionally make me nervous about the safety of my camera.  The upside to toting around a decent camera with a big lens is that people will generally let you cut in front of them to get a shot with no complaint.

Every day I check this thread and I am awestruck and inspired by all your great work.   Most of the jargan is way over my head but the photos definately translate to everyone.... So here is my contribution.   It, for me, summed up the entire weekend at our first trip to OHRF.   Sarah met this charming peasant cast member and the only called each other "Best Friend" from the moment they met.     You can't deny your child an experience like this! She was wet, she was covered with mud, and the gown I had sweated over for weeks was WHITE!   But these hugs are kinda what this is all about...   corney but true.  thanks for everything, everyone!

And if anyone knows who this girl is, can you please contact us!

Thank you, m'lady.  Who here thinks we should petition Rani to pen such a poem???   :)

I'll first the proposal!

You flatter me, Sir.  My small skill is no match for your own, and I fear would detract from the serenity of your art.  Besides, having read none of my work, you take quite a towering risk in offering to shackle it to your own!  :o

I must confess, though... words have begun to wander round in my head, some few crashing into others, and holding fast...  :)
