Too many goggled people I think......???

Popular they may be, but quite necessary for my line of work (Airship Pirate). ;)

Steampunk Vamp sounds pretty cool.

My hat and goggles from The Blonde Swan:

I made one slight modification to the goggles. They were plain black plastic (which I didn't realize when I ordered them since I was focused on the leather and filigree on the sides) so I drybrushed on some metallic glaze after a coat of Krylon Fusion to give the glaze something to stick to.

Love the hat and the goggles. Might I enquire as to were you found the goggles, as i did not see them on the blonde swan site?

There are many of us, including yours truly, who find themselves in tight straits this year.  I hope things loosen up for you.  Your presence will be missed.

The goggles are also from Blonde Swan though they aren't shown on the site. I believe they sell for $50-60 but I'm not sure since I paid one price for the hat, goggoles, and feather pin.

Well, I ended up not actually working on my goggles last night, but here's the before picture.

They are such elegantly framed goggles that they don't seem to need or want much in the way of mods.  But sparky scientists can't leave well enough alone!  Beautiful goggles, ellenare.

Thanks!  I don't need to do much to them, just need to remove/disguise the HP stuff, and paint the silver part bronze.  They were EXACTLY what I was looking for to go with my costume.

Inspired by Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter, I spent the evening beading eleven hat pins.  They are such a simple thing to make yet add a nice splash of color & sparkle.

The camera's charging - tonight, okay?  The background is my Victorian suit fabric.

For today, my mom's taking my measurements so I can start the matching jacket to my walking skirt

http://www.lostcoasthistpatterns.com/trvi18rija.html.

This will have black velvet lapels, w/a venise lace applique matching the hem trim, accented w/crystals) and cuffs (if I can figure them out since there isn't a cuff part in the pattern).

Taffy, where do you get your pin blanks?

I got my pin blanks on eBay from vendor:  wedbay.  They sent them super fast.  Mom says Hobby Lobby might carry them.
