Do you have a Tandy Leather store new you?

I might.  Do they have buckles?  I've been thinking about making a couple of leather accessories for my costume anyway, so I've been meaning to look into the existance of such a store near me.

Phoenix, RumbaRue, your costumes are very cool!

Elennare- Tandy's website has 7 or 8 pages of buckles, so I would hedge a guess that in store they have them too. Also if you have a saddle shop near you check them out, I got some lovely brass chicago screws for my goggle mod for dirt cheap cause they had tons of extras floating around, so there is a chance they might have buckles as well.

Thanks for the complement on the outfit, although I should warn you its not done yet(much like my ren-garb...its never finished LOL)

Its becoming less and less likely that I'll be able to come down for TRF due to finances.

I finished my project for class I was talking about. They were due today. I'll post it soon if I can. My comp has been lame recently. Everyone in my class liked my pics :)

Pretty. Odd.

Friends of mine are asking if people are still planning a steampunk invasion of TRF for Halloween.  They have never been and are excited about not only going to faire but having others in steampunk theme.

From what I have read the TRF Steamy invasion is still on.

Speaking of invasions a friend and I were discussing having one at MNRF next year, could be fun.

so here's the pics I did for my project. I printed them off on matte photo paper and put them into some cool old looking frames from walmart.

none of these people were actually in the photos to begin with. These files are prior to cropping them all toe 8x10 to fit the frames. Also I didn't take any of the original pics so I'm not claiming any rights to any of those.

Very nice work, AC!  Excellent insertion technique, and your shadows are pretty nice, also!  You've got the lighting down, and your extractions look pretty flawless from this resolution.  On the pic of the girl and plane, you might shorten her shadow a bit, and lower the transparency slightly, since her shadow seems just a little lighter than the shadow of the plane, and the light looks only slightly angled, but mostly overhead.

Congratulations!!!  Bet you get an A+!!!

Duckie 84, a good many of us are being pinched by the economy.  Please let us know if you won't be able to make it  - but I hope you will!

SirRichardBear, tell your friends the steampunk invasion is ON!  We want to make a big steamy splash so bringthembringthembringthem!  Could I get their names for the badge/favor?

ArielCallista, nice work - you get an A!

We're getting closer to our invasion.  Please give me your name if you haven't already done it so I can put you on the badge/favor list.

Now I feel like belting a verse of Ssssssteam Heat!

Rumba I love those pictures where did you meet such a fine group of other Steamers? And as for your outfit, simply lovely.

There is a Steampunk Ghostbuster group. I would love to see thier kit up close and personal, would probably give me some good ideas.

OK, I gotta say steampunk, at least before, kinda was certainly not my cup of tea. It was weird, and almost backwards sci-fi (looking back at what might have been vs what will be).

But now we watch Warehouse 13...and that's about as obvious steampunk references as I can think of. Love the show so far, hope it lasts a bit.

Now cyberpunk, I'm more comfortable with, and i got some hilarious ideas about that!
