As a Gypsy (both character and lifestyle, to a point) there has always been a great deal of my every day wardrobe that can be used for garb, and until I acquired my very first bodice and chemise ever earlier this spring, that's just what I did for Faire.  All of my scarves, skirts, jewelry, peasant blouses and even pouches were borrowed from my mundane clothing... or perhaps the other way around...  LOL

I'd probably quite easily qualify for that What Not to Wear episode...  ::)  But the question is... would they require me to give up my current wardrobe in favor of something they would pick?  Or perhaps a better question would be...  would they try to stop me from getting online during that week in NY and ordering $5000 worth of NEW GARB?!?!?!?  ROFL   (Moresca, Damsel and eBay here I come!!!)

Nah, didn't win, but that's ok.  I had a good laugh answering the phones (customers).  If they got a little testy, I'd think to myself, "Hey, you're talking to Lovey here," which made me crack up, so not too much ended up bothering me!

And yesterday was Las Vegas Day, and I won a Baby Ruth playing blackjack.  Life is good!  ;D

I am known for curling up in my cloak and going to sleep anywhere...it is my favorite blanket and I use it all winter long :)

In that case, Draconnia, I suggest you stay off the I-10 corridor during rush hour.

I always wear garb on Hallowe'en, whether peasant or noble. And I wear my patchwork Silver Squirrel skirt, my shoes, and jewelry. Sometimes my Blue Flame Leather belt, too. But definitely my beloved cloak.

My cloak has now become a jacket as my denim jacket got a rather large hole in it.

Yes, cousin, that story had me chucklin' as well...
though, likely for a different reason  ;D

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

I've worn my garb to work on a few occasions... living in Tampa Bay area means that we have pirate and buccaneer things going on all the time... so I've worn it for pirate costume contests (since, ironically most 'danes can't tell a pirate from anyone else...) and I've worn it (parts of it) as parts of other contests for costumes...
they always say it's not fair because I already HAVE the stuff and they have to go buy it.
I've TOLD them they could remedy that by becoming rennies...

I wore my fairy ears to class one day to see if anyone would notice. Only one person did, but in their defence, I have a lot of hair.

Auryn

I wore my pirate justacorps to a celtic music performance at a theatre saturday night.
It was great.
Too bad I couldn't wear my boots, didn't really go with everything else I was wearing.

As soon as the weather cools I wear my ren boots pretty religiously to work and everywhere else.
